I see what you mean.. and I agree...I think Coburn stays... - Hextall271
I think it has to be an either/or thing. Don't see how they could move both. If they move Meszaros, then Coburn stays, and vice versa. Also, I don't see any reason to move both. They made need some cap relief as Bill pointed out a few pages ago, but moving one should accomplish that as long as they don't take a big salary in return. |

I agree about Bryz- I think he bolts to the KHL since the money will be better and he doesn't seem to like America to much. - coffee junkie
Won't be with CSKA if so.

Except for the fact that miller/loungo are actually good goalies and not bums? - SMS4016
Miller is not a fit here. Too much money, too thin-skinned (aka head case), and too inconsistent. He's another MAF, only older with no Cups. |

Agreed, but how much are they going to give up in a trade for Miller, who would have a higher cap hit than Bryz? Just wait until Luongo is bought out. |

Don't have the assets to trade for Miller IMO.. I'd wait til Lu is bought out and offer him 4 mil per 3 years. |

Right. Zero interest in giving up the farm for another high cap goalie. Not even so sure Luongo is top choice. Homer obviously has something up his sleeve. |

People should be more concerned with the people running the Flyers, instead of the media.
As I posted earlier close to 12 million in cap space was cleared with the buyouts of Briere and Bryzgalov, and roughly 40% of it has been spent on a +35 contract and Mark Streit.
It appears to me that there is no plan that is being adhered to. Constantly reversing course. Never allowing any cohesion to be built. |

I know people are generally not on board, but I really think Luongo would help solidify the position if he'd come hereon a short term deal. |

Yeah, this is what I am starting to think.... react react react.. seems to be the MO.. zero plan... If we are out of the playoffs this year.. I will call for Lavy and Homer to be fired... |

they seem to be attempting to build cohesion, imo. Refused to trade top young guys for Weber and Bernier. Hung onto their young assests by singing Streit.
edit: sticking with lavy seems to speak to cohesion too.. rather than having everything start over with a new system |

I'd be okay with Luongo if he's bought out and comes relatively cheap. Not sure he's willing to do that, but if he is then I'd be interested. Otherwise I'll be happier just to keep reading his tweets. |

if flyers miss the plyoffs, homer's out and they'll be a clean sweep...as there should be. i think they'll make the plyoffs though it won't be a walk w/ DET in the conf and improving clubs like CLB, WPG, TOR and NYI.
edit: forgot WPG out |

I think they would have traded a Couturier package for Weber, but the Flyers brain trust figured there would be no way the Preds would be able to match an offer sheet. Calculated risk that failed.
A lot can happen in the next 10 days to two weeks, but right now this isn't close to a playoff roster. |

Outside of the NYI, none of those teams is in the Flyers division, though, so they won;t necessarily affect their ability to make playoffs. |

if they demonstrate this type of change, i'll certainly be more patient w/ them. |

It's all about winning a Cup. Making the playoffs isn't good enough. |

im confused.. do you want them to build cohesion with the young team... or make moves to try to accellerate the process?
i feel like no matter what you'll say they have no plan |

I think there is a good possibility. For Weber that's something you think long and hard about. |
