WIP reports Homer sighted at a S.Philly hardware store, buying WD40 to lube up the goalie carousel before turning it back on. - feelingkettle
If we go back to a younger version of the Boucher/Leighton fiasco, i will lose it. |

Also, the media pile on right now (particularly this Randy Miller stuff) is hilariously predictable. |

@RandyJMiller And ... I personally witnessed two Flyers people arguing about Bryz in a bar this year. One was destroying him, calling him a cancer - isaiah520
Randy Miller is not doing himself any favors, I would think, by putting that stuff out there like that.
If you were a player, would you trust Miller at this point? |

I just want to take a moment to thank Bill for making me a smarter, more informed connoisseur of hockey. Your article today was well worth the wait. I think it’s fascinating the stories you dig up.
I like thinking of the players as people. And not everyone has a nice feel good story. It’s a wake-up call to think about all those who dream and don’t make it. So thank you for sharing…
Now back to Bryz-bashing.

'Hawks just won the Cup with an inexpensive goalie tandem... so yeah, deja vu. |

Wouldnt rule out Miller. This is quite an interesting turn of events even though a majority of people saw the buyout coming. Glad hes gone but more frustrated that it didnt work out. - aosplayo
Kinda my sentiments as well however if Luonge gets here, I will be very happy with the move. |

Maybe, but I think the plan of Mason and Khudobin does not provide us with a solid tandem if Mason struggles. - Hextall271
I disagree, Khudobin is a very good goalie who's still fairly young and still looking to establish himself in this leauge. He is most definitely a capable back-up who could play an upwards of 35+ games.
If were gonna roll with Mason, we need to at least give him 45-50 starts to see what he's made of. He's a very young veteran in this league. He's been a starter in this league and looked rock solid the end of this season. He looks insanely confident, he likes it here. If they show some confidence in him and ARE PATIENT FOR ONCE WITH A YOUNGER GOALIE, he will reward us. Watch. |

Bummer.
I'm sure he'll have a contract somewhere by training camp. I hope he does well.
So, now they need a starting goalie. This will be interesting. |

Personally, my gut is that Mason is going to turn into a solid starter and soon if the team D improves. If that's the plan, great, but I'd like a different and more experienced backup. I also don't think patience is a motto that the org uses. They were going to trade for Bernier, and I think now they'l sign Luongo and go for it all next year. |

I could also see them getting Halak, but I agree, they need a bridge starter for Markstrom to play for at least another season to mentor him. |
