Because some people talk out of their asses because they are too (frank)ing stupid to do 8 minutes of research before posting moronic bullpoop? - Jsaquella
all-in-all biron was at least as good as bryz for almost half the price. just didn't make the big save when needed a lot of times.

it's not insulting if it's the truth
if you can't handle the truth i hear hello kitty online has open registration http://www.hellokittyonline.com/ - 2Real
Well, here's your problem: If Martin Biron ISN'T as good as Ryan Miller, which is what you're saying, then why are you hell-bent to fire the guy WHO MADE HIM LOOK JUST LIKE HIM?!?!
I swear, that frustrates me more than anything -- it's OK to be critical, even devastatingly so, when it's true.
If somebody says, "Man, I hate Paul Holmgren because he traded Jeff Carter and Mike Richards days before their NTCs kicked in," I'd say "Yep, that was a pretty crappy thing to do. He shouldn't have done that, and it absolutely made the Flyers look like liars and was embarrassing."
But how does anybody say that Jeff Reese should get gassed? For what? Taking an unknown rookie Russian goalie to a 28-13-8 record, with a .915 svpct?
For taking a waiver-wire pickup and having him go 16-5-2?
For taking a goalie who came over in a trade after two-plus miserable seasons in Columbus and watching him go 4-2 with a .944 svpct and 1.90 gaa?
I don't know what else Jeff Reese has to do to keep a job in this city! - AllInForFlyers
Now, one of those goalies played for the Flyers under Jeff Reese. The other played for another team, in the same season.
Now tell me this: Are you really ready to say that those seasons aren't comparable?
The first goaltender is Martin Biron. The second goaltender is Ryan Miller, from Buffalo. So tell me again how Jeff Reese gets fired again for "goaltending that is horrid year in and year out?" - AllInForFlyers
Jeff Reese took over June 25th 2009. Biron signed with the Islanders July 1st 2009.

Biron was basically a good guy version of Bryz...he had good stretches and bad stretches. Overall his numbers were better, but the teams he played behind were more responsible in their own end.

Schenn can move the puck decently and seems to be able to join the play when the oportunity presents...I wouldn't exactly peg him as a purely stay at home type...and also, with the minutes he can play, I believe he has top pairing upside...not that #1 two-way guy who can put up 40-50 pts and play solid D (only a few players like that in the NHL), but a solid #2 who can complement a more offensively dynamic #1.
Streit and Carle are two different players...Streit is much more confident and competent of a puck mover and more of an offensive catalyst but maybe not as good defensively (not that Carle is a stalwart either). Carle has been underwhelming in Tampa (to say the least -- some TB fans already want him bought out) and I think it was a good move to avoid paying that $$ and term. I think the idea of having had Carle in the lineup is attractive because he's perceived as a puck mover and offensive guy, the type of player the Flyers need(ed) to complement their current mix, but there are others who can fit that bill, some of them just as good or better. I think some will be pleasantly surprised at Streit's abilities to move the puck and contribute offensively. - exlund
carle's a better plyr who doesn't come w/ the 35+ trap. signing streit proves we missed out on carle. schenn was acquired as a reflex trade when carle left...and we still need a puck mover cause streit will be the poor man's kimmo when timmonen leaves. right now, a bit of a mess, cause we still would likely move couts or schenn for yandle or shat.
Amazing... no wonder everyone leaves the Flyers thread. Same old crap different day. Troll everyone you don't know because you suck ass with refs outside of the website.
I'm referring to anyone who makes a stupid, uninformed or uninteresting post. If you feel you fit that description, well, OK - Jsaquella
So by you agreeing with him, while he was WRONG about Biron even playing with Reese, would mean you actually fall under the "they" you are referencing than huh?
