The easiest thing to do is run around screaming "Fire this guy, fire that guy," like that's going to fix everything. - AllInForFlyers
I don't like the guy. Everything can't be fixed with firing of a coach. The least of which being a goaltending coach. Flyers goaltending hasn't been the reason they've lost. Their team defense is a complete and utter disgrace, along with their compete levels on most nights.
I did not mean to infer that the reason we sucked was because of him. I place no blame on him. I just dislike him.
Are we now saying that numbers are the end all of information when proving and disproving a player/coachs worth?
Not arguing, just asking. Some days stats are meaningless, and some other days they are everything. Hard to keep track. Just a tuesday thing, or a few days a week? Please, let me in the loop. - Flyersgod
I don't understand what it is that you want -- you're the one who wants Jeff Reese fired. My question to you is...why?
What is that he should have done that makes you say he should be unemployed? In the last full season, the Flyers has 102 points. The starting goalie was 33-16-7, with a .909 svpct, six shutouts and a modern-day record for scoreless hockey.
With Torts in Vancouver, gotta write Simmonds for Edler seems even more possible. Not a lot of gritty forwards in Vancouver. If Edler somehow does get acquired, certainly another nod of the organization of them backing Lava's core beliefs on how the team should attack.

OK, then -- that's fine. You don't have to like the guy, and that's your call.
It's just difficult to dispel the notion of Philadelphia being a goaltender graveyard when advocating for a firing isn't based on performance of that particular person.
it's not insulting if it's the truth
if you can't handle the truth i hear hello kitty online has open registration http://www.hellokittyonline.com/ - 2Real

What has Jeff Reese done to lose his job? - AllInForFlyers
So the head coach gets no credit? The team in front of the goalie gets no credit? All that happened isn't because of Reese. When the team plays the way they should, they could make a paper bag look like Patrick Roy. They just don't do it as often anymore.
Why do i need to justify my opinion to you? I don't like the guy and wish he was fire. I don't like Michael Vick and wish he gets traded. I don't like Brayden Schenn and hope he's moved at the draft. There aren't always justifications for the reasons people think the way they do.
Please name for me all the better puck moving Dmen that are UFA's? - jstross
Ok. There's
and
Oh don't forget
That sums it up.
Now, maybe we'll see a guy out there as a CBO, but there's very few good defensemen on deals in jeopardy of cap recapture penalties for their current teams.
One example is Brian Campbell, but using the capgeek calculator, there's zero penalty if he retires early. Mattias Ohlund could be a CBO, but he's not as good at carrying the puck as Streit.

And...you don't have to justify anything. But you posted it in an open forum. Did you not want anyone to read it? Did you not want anyone to respond?
You don't like the guy. But maybe some of us do. If you post in an open forum, especially something that negative, what do you want people to do who don't agree with you?
Or maybe you just post in public forums and don't expect anybody to read what you say and respond? Maybe that makes sense to you.
