I feel like Halak would be relatively cheap, no? I'd be ok with that. - Giroux_Is_God
he doesn't necessarily have to be the guy, so yea, i agree. |

@ToddCordell Where do the #Flyers go from here? Roberto Luongo? Jonas Hiller? Jaroslav Halak? Veteran free agent? Lots of options. - isaiah520
Out of those options I'd say Lu, but only on a friendly contract. |

I do want him here, but I think it would be 50/50 if he came.. he's not as bad as Vancouver fans make him out to be. - Hextall271
Are you kidding, Hexy?
Spend a little time in Esplen's thready - the Canucks fans still think they are going to trade Luongo for two firsts and a second.
Luongo is still an excellent goalie - it's his contract that sucks.
If he gets bought out, he becomes a very attractive option.
Problem is, if he gets bought out, he may just want to go back to the Panthers and go into semi-retirement. |

If he hung up on him twice, when did he do this? - bodiva88
if you prove randy wrong or irritate him, he's nasty. i've seen that and clearly, all of us are seeing that now. |

i'm with you Bill - i would have waited so as to not undermine the position. but that's not how the Flyers operate it appears (over and over). |

My Bryz prediction: He goes back to the KHL.....has a decent statistical year and then writers will start getting fed quotes that say that Bryz isn't as bad as everyone said, etc, etc.
He'll be back in the NHL in 2014-2015. |

How would everyone here feel about trading Matt Read for Michael Neuvirth? Would the Capitals do that you think? |

i have to say i'm still surprised. they must have a pretty good idea of who they're landing. i can't imagine they're comfortable with dumping bryz and handing the keys to mason based on a 7 game tryout at the end of the season.
that's a lot of bucks to just give away. commencing parking and concessions increase in 3..2....1....

They'd be better off trading Matt Read for James Reimer |

Exactly.
A very bizarre and kind of hilarious chapter in the story that is Philadelphia Flyers goaltending - mochoson
The Flyers crease is more of a nightmare than it ever was. But at least we can start to move on. |

Agreed, unless Lou comes really cheap to help Markstrom along I don't see a small market team who does not like to spend much sign him. |

It's going to suck to be paying Bryz while he's shutting us out in NJ for the next 5 years. |

Cory Schneider, Alex Edler, and Jordan Schroeder for Sean Couturier and Wayne Simmonds
Philly gets a their goalie finally and the dman they need
Canucks get a 3rd line center and a good power winger works for both teams
Sedin Sedin Kassian
Burrows Kesler Simmonds
Booth Couturier Hansen

Another good point.
Wonder if there is another shoe to drop (i.e.-- a trade yet to be announced or a signing). |

I don't see the point in that. We could be spending the money were saving in other areas.
I'd be more interested in bringing Gagne back and/or signing a guy like Ryan Jones. I also wouldn't mind exploring FA for a depth defensemen because quite frankly, Gervais is garbage IMO. Sign a new 7th defensemen and keep Lauridsen and everyone else who was on our blue-line carousal from the Phantoms this year down on the farm.
I also wouldn't mind signing someone like Boyd Gordon or inviting a guy like Dave Steckel to camp on a try-out.
All thing's I'd rather explore than Luongo. - mochoson
I just think the team will go big and the Luongo move would fit their MO. They could play it conservative. Sign a cheap backup, not really sign anyone big but just fill ins. If Homer is out of the playoffs again though, I say he gets axed, after the Bryz mulligan.
