NHL When questioning my source about Flyers lack of interest in Luongo, " 34yr old goalie quickly regressing + requires substantial money"

NHL - Source stated to me the Flyers have NOT had any talks about acquiring Luongo, Source says Emery is the Flyers top option at this point
This guy also just reported that the Sabres, Flames, and Flyers have called the Hurricanes for the 5th pick. By the way, I have no idea how legit this guy is. - GilPerreault11

the team in front of him didn't hurt, but he was 17-1 with a 1.94 gaa. those are pretty ridiculous numbers whether you're on the cup champs or not - hugefemale dog77
I've been trying to explain that to my co workers all day. He is serviceable.
I am not confident that the Sabres are going to be able to move into the Top 3 for the very simple reason that the teams holding those picks are not going to trade them for virtually any price. You have players being touted as franchise-types at this stage and teams generally are loathe to move those. However, a move to 5 might be doable. I think it will cost more than most think.
Furthermore, there is a greater chance of trading Vanek than Miller for a simple reason. Most teams do not need a goalie - especially those willing to take on a 6 million salary. Certainly none of the rebuilding teams would do this.
However, EVERY team is in the market for a consistent 30 goal scorer. Even the best teams need more scoring. It is just a bigger market.
Me as a Flyers fan, i would LOVE to have Ryan Miller. If the Flyers could work out a deal for Miller + Vanek that was fair for both sides, I would do it.
Would you trade Vanek to move up 3 spots in the draft to get #5? This year, I think I would if one of the top 4 forwards are still there. - GilPerreault11
That is a really tough question. I am assuming that price includes the #8 pick. I might do that.

I can see this being bigger also with Philly like Miller and Vanek but the return would have to be pretty big. Couturier for sure and I'd be asking about Simmonds and Brayden Schenn

Oh yeah, it includes #8 + vanek for #5. We drafted Vanek at #5 and now, if the Sabres and other scouts are right, they would get a young, blue chip prospect to take his place as one of the Sabres top scorers. I would do it, but would darcy and would the Canes?

after buying out Briere and Bryz.. you guys have a little more room in the salary cap.. but you really want to take on 13+M??
I am sure we would gladly take like Courterier, 11th overall, and maybe one of your bad contracts like Meszaros or something.
But that still isn't equal to Miller and Vanek I don't think.
