almost had a heart attack. jesus, people need to stop taking garth so seriously. you don't like/respect him anyways, so who cares what he posts amiright?

I like the outrageous talking points that the troll bloggers provide. Sometimes they have moments of clarity and you think you've gone crazy for agreeing with them

has anyone heard anything more about the Sabres new 3rd jerseys??

I heard that Black said that they will NOT be a throwback and it will be blue in color with their same logo on it...

so there goes the goat head.. the slug.. a black/yellow/silver colored jersey..

I was kind of hoping for the B Sword to be on it.

Maybe release it at the draft party????

- JVince11

Im kinda hoping itll be the crossed swords from the black/red era returning but blue/gold in color.

In 2010-2011, 2011-2012, and 2012-2013, Miller has been .003%, .002%, and .003% above league average SV% respectively.

GAA is irrelevant. That's a team stat. But if you're gonna use it to defend Miller it works badly the other way. 2.81GAA

And Bernier could be in the minors in 2 years, he really hasn't done anything to say he will be an elite goalie in the NHL.
- BigStew

Well he had a better SV% than Miller this year.

Also in two years Miller could pull a Roloson and suddenly stop being an NHL quality goalie. Should STL give up one of their best young forwards for him, or even more?? Hell no

Tell that to Garth and most BUF fans here when they say Dubnyk tops out as a backup goalie bud.

The simple fact is no team will pay half of what Garth expects. It's common sense

Not sure what Miller is worth but in the last 2 or 3 seasons he has stole at least 7 to 10 games for us in each of those years. Without him we may have had the first pick 2 of the last 3 years.

He was also playing for the 2012 Stanley Cup winning team, their defense is better than the Sabres who would have been drafting in the top 3 Sunday if not for Miller.

Sabers would be luck to get one of the Blues current goalies and maybe Perron or Berglund. Blue's dont have their 1st this year and Oshie is too much for miller. Taransenko is also pretty much untouchable, the kid is a stud.

Miller absolutely has good trade value, he is the best available option for goaltenders at the moment. His numbers aren't mediocre, he plays on a team that had IMO the worst defensive play in the league and faced significantly more shots on average than any other goalie in the league. He showed even this past season that he has the ability to steal games for a team that had no business being close.

For those worried about his cap hit, stop being dumb, we can and will take back up to half of his salary making Miller a bargain.

I'm not going to go all Garth saying ridiculous statements about getting absurd assets, but he really will get a good return if not simply because of the sheer number of teams looking for reliable goaltending. Only Miller and Luongo have that reliability and proven factor and are available.

Philly trolls go home, you are butthurt from being completely burned by Bryzgalov. If you don't want Miller fine, but you had best sign someone because you are completely F'ed for backstops.

Realistic landing places for Miller I see are Islanders, Capitals, or Oilers.

Edmonton fans I seriously don't understand why you wouldn't want Miller, a solid goaltender and a D-man would put your team over the top. Not speculating what we would get back, just saying.

We live on the border, go look at your N. American map. We get HNIC and watch a lot of Oilers games, much more than the # of Sabres games you catch.

The Sabres aren't getting a good young player (Oshie or Tarasenko) AND a first round pick for an overpaid goalie with one expensive year on his contract who probably has seen better days.

I'm no fan of Bernier. But he definitely has more value than Miller on the trade market. 5 years tops of Miller, or 10+ years of Bernier?

Yeah I like that idea too. i feel bad though because they're probably going to get torn apart by fans who are upset that they had a bad season, are rebuilding, raised ticket prices, and now are trying to sell something else.

I wouldn't be surprised if they try to push this off until next year to give people a chance to calm down.

I went when it was in Buffalo in '98, they had some cool events outside the arena for kids, the draft seemed rather uneventful, but as a younger kid it was cool to see everything up close. I don't think I'd pay to go to one though

The draft class is supposed to be pretty good, would that influence your decision to go or not?

serious question, is the list of players that garth HAS proposed in a miller trade, longer or shorter then the list of players he HASN'T proposed in a miller trade?

you gotta give it up garth, NOBODY is gonna trade a quality, young, top six forward like oshie, for miller.

it's not a knock on miller.....he's a good goalie.....but face it, he's older, expensive, and is coming off of a couple of average years. people aren't gonna look at his "vezina years" when they make offers for him, they're gonna look at the last 2 years, when he was average, and a giant PR distraction.

i imagine at this point, miller's value isn't that great.

- sensarmy_11

Miller has hardly deviated from his Vezina season performance. The team as a whole hasnt been as good both on the PP and the PK, and thats what hurt his overall numbers. Hes one of the best goalies in the league at even strength. Hes the reason the Sabres havent been drafting like the Oilers have for the past 5 years.

And whats this "giant PR distraction" all about?

GMs are definitely interested, but for what Bernier just went for. Miller's value's going down not up. Certainly not worth Oshie. Especially with Halak and Elliott in STL

I had Center Ice so many of their games were carried in the 2nd half of HNIC because they had a lot of interesting players much of Canada wanted to see.

TJ Oshie and a first rounder please.
Oshie is a 26 year old power center who is exactly the type of leader the Sabres are looking to add. He's big, tough and skilled. His career high is 19 goals scored and his ceiling is 30-35 goals pet season high.
Oshie has 4 years remaining on a 5 year deal that makes him a $4,175,000 per season.

If not Oshie, how about Tarasenko?

Wait, what?
