Kuznetsov, I love, but it looks like he enjoys playing in the KHL, Johansson is nothing special imo. and one 1st for both Vanek and Miller, you could argue we got more for just pommer by himself.

Marcus Johansson has progressed every year since his draft, jumping from SEL to NHL. He may pan out into a St. Louis-lite type of player, or he may not. He shows signs that he can stick around though.

New mocks actually have Nichushkin falling to us at 8, which would be amazing. Landing him and hopefully Lazar at 16 would be a perfect round for us. Hopefully we can trade Miller or Vanek before or at the draft and land one more first. Thats my dream.

Not sure you understand how it works.. A player who wants out on a contract year, has a 7.1 cap hit, and has no playoff resume to speak of (20 pts in 36 games) is not a huge commodity. The return might be what Pommer got you, but don't expect much more as that was even an overpayment.

I actually think for the first time Darcy knows we aren't good and is prepared to lose for another year. My issue is his previous draft classes hasn't been great.

Also, did you watch Forsberg in those games with Nashville? Kid has a lot to learn. Lindholm put up better numbers than him. Hell, even the lower-tier prospects this year like Burakovsky fared better than Forsberg in their draft years. Who cares about Forsberg? If that's your rational, you should give us Vanek, and some bottom-6 prospect for Kuznetsov alone.
