Rolston mentions and seemed pretty serious that players will have to earn their spots. - cabin
Yeah. I've seen Tropp during prospect camp rookie camps and training camps. He has that type of work ethic that will force Rolstons hand. I remember him destroying Cantenicci last summer during rookie camp. Granted Cantenicci isn't the biggest but Tropp ran him over like he was smacking around his kid brother. He has that nastiness to his game and can pop in 5-10 goals a year. Plus he is good in his own zone. Something this team is going to need more of |

Agreed . roster was full last season and moving players around became a task. Hopefully we can get some moved out that aren't working and see some talent . - cabin Waive Gerbe and Kaleta. That would leave 3 lineup spots open next year for sure, plus the other callups' spots (Porter and Flynn) up for grabs. Then there can be some opportunity to obtain a bottom 6 spot from guys in Roch. |

I was about to respond to your other post about Kaleta being ahead of him on the depth chart until I read this post.
Kaleta and Scott shouldnt start more than 82 games combined.
Tropp has more offensive upside and does everything else Kaleta does minus stupid poop. We have Ott, we dont need Kaleta. - theblueandgold
yeah ott really should be the third line guy that gets spot duty on second line
let flynn and tropp battle it out for the second line and put the other on the 4th line
team is so thin at rw though in the pipeline, aside from armia
what do they do if staff is a no show?
one more reason why pommer was the wrong sabre to move and if there was an A on his jersey instead of a C he would still be here |

4th line of Tropp/Foligno/Kaleta would work for me.
I have. Feeling Foligno will be playing center to start the year |

No, not about Tarasenko.
About getting Tarasenko for Miller.
You and Garth are crazy! - carcus
Oh, whoops. Yeah, i will admit that it is a stretch. But, if the Blues can resign Miller and are serious about improving their goaltending struggle, then they might want to take the gamble of trading for Miller. Think about it, the guy can hold the spot for at least 5 years and take Allen under his wing. |

Gonna have to see what he brings to camp. I'm hoping for the best . I liked him while he was up here. Need to make the room for the better talent on the team. |

I think tropp and flynn can pop 20 goals each in a season if given 15 minutes of ice time a game |

I think Foligno is going to be more of that 3rd and 4th line player. Having him as a top 6 forward was a mistake |

Honestly, I don't see Miller as an upgrade over Halak.
Especially for a couple million more of salary.
There are Blues fans that would think about getting Miller, but I am not one of them. Doubtful that any of them would be down with Tarasenko for Miller though. That is not even close to an even trade.

And on the right line. Tropp has the skill to play on a line with Grigo as his bodyguard. |

Personally I think he's more talented than Wayne Simmonds or Clowe, I think he can produce like Clarkson, but it might be 2-3 years down the road that he really comes into his own |

We definitely lack depth at wing and defense in our pipeline.
I dont agree about Pommer, whether he had an A, a C or no letter hes a desirable player. Darcy couldnt turn down that deal.
Yankees with a walk off homer from IIIIIIIII-CHIR-OOOOOO, 4 HRs to win 4-3. |

Miller is a consistently solid netminder on a bad team. Imagine how much better he would be behind the Blues' D. Maybe a pick could be thrown in by the Sabres, but the trade's basis is feasible. |

flynn had 3 goals in last 11 games
6 goals in 26 games
not much improvement needed to get 20 goals in a full season
tropp got 4 points in a 5 game stretch when he got ice time under ruff and when he got his head screwed on straight popped in 20 goals and 42 points his senior year in 37 games
they both have potential and most important, strong work ethic |

ennis and staff would be moved along with some of our d men for upgrades |
