I said something similar earlier. We have no idea what his value is to other GMs. Also if we were to go after briere play him with Leino. They had some magic together in the past. However I'd finally like to see that Ott Grigorenko and Leino line - Stripes77
Or, move ott down to the 3rd line and have Briere, Leino, and Grigs as a second line. But you are right, we really have no idea what his value is. Pommers trade yielded a surprise return, but most expected it to be somewhat high. With Miller, there is no consensus agreement on value. I am hoping that he goes to Phx, they have great defensive prospects. Of course, that rests on how Phx values him. |

I'd like Ennis if the Sabres top 2 lines were strong enough to put him on the 3rd line. He gets bumped off the puck a lot; size matters. - GilPerreault11
he also out works any current sabre not named ott making over 1 mil per in the corners

To be fair, expecting Tarasenko or Oshie and a first isn't that far off from other crazy stuff people say here about the Blues. Before the trade deadline, I had Calgary fans expecting Stewart, Rattie, and a 1st for JBo.
Ryan Miller is a one year rental. He'll be 33. There are only so many teams who consider their championship window to be open right now... and none of those teams NEED a goalie. Blues might be the only ones looking for one. The rest of the teams that keep getting brought up would hope to win the Cup next year, but aren't going to waste assets on a rental over the summer when they know they are a few years away from their window... and even if they can re-sign Miller, he might be in decline by then.
It's not that Miller isn't a good goalie. It's just supply and demand. |

Nope. The way he quoted something made it seem that way, but no he never said that. - theblueandgold
Gotcha. Anyway, it should be interesting this Sunday and I'm hoping both Vanek and Miller are dealt, the Sabres at least move up from the 16th pick and the team gets younger, faster and more skilled. Amy I asking too much? |

He just needs the heads up creativity to get the puck to a moving winger. I hate when all the players are standing still. |

max gets the puck from behind our net
skates his ass off to get into the other zone
he looks around and sees 4 hab jerseys and the 4 sabre jerseys are approaching center ice
sound familiar?

Miller for Tarasenko+ any goalie Blues want to give up. Tarasenko is an elite prospect that the Sabres can build around alongside Grigorenko+ 8. - benny948
I doubt ST louis would move him straight up for Miller. |

Phoenix is an interesting destination for him. I like most Sabres fans want to get more than prospects for him. Id love to see Yandle in blue and gold. It's a total crap shoot where he ends up or if he stays for that matter too |

I love his speed, and his work along the boards
I feel he is turning into max part II with our slow team
flip vanek to rw in the slot
have coho play low in front of the net
ennis, coho, vanek
ennis rushes back to our zone while coho gets back into play - navinrjohnson
I agree with everything but the bolded text. I just don't see that comparison at all... Ennis isn't as lazy (at times), enigmatic, or "puck-hoggy" as Max was.
I'm really just thinking it's the ridiculously long hair that's giving everyone flashbacks. |

third line of leino, foligno, ott
let ott take the face offs
is there enough speed on the line though? - navinrjohnson
Not sure. Maybe Flynn at RW. I like Flynn, you can plug him on any line and I think he would play his part |

Indeed. Watch Crosby flip the puck out from no where for a scoring chance. And there is always someone to receive that puck. how many times do we see a player throw it to the slot and nobody is there. |

I'd love to see the Sabres be able to get two top 10 picks and still have a third first round later 20-25. Or pull off two top 5 picks and give up the rest of the draft to do it!! Something exciting. We can dream can't we? |

Doesn't seem like STL fans feel that way either. Like I said before, Miller + could potentially nab him depending on what the Blues think of Miller. That is obviously on the high end of Miller's value. It benefits them immensely in the short term, so the Blues could pull the plug and go for it. |

Not to mention Ennis practically produced with any player he played with ... Vanek, Coho, Ott, Stafford, Foligno, Gerbe, Leino.
He was our most consistent forward until he went on a late 7 game slump before the end of the season. A lot of that had to do with the defensive responsibility that was heaped on him. A lot of that had to do with our team outside of Vanek, Coho, Pommer and Ennis had little offense.
I see no reason to get rid of Ennis. |

ok, ott can play either wing
ott lw (takes draws)
foligno c
flynn rw
this means we have to keep vanek or leino and ennis are the top 2 lw's

I too don't like the Max comparison.
Ennis doesn't have top end speed, he has elite quickness. He also goes to the dirty areas which Max never did. Ennis is mor Briere than Max |
