Any pick in the first half of the first round and I'm all for it
- Stripes77

I would be ecstatic, Myers would be expendable with that trade.

Thats what I thought, it is a good trade. the Yotes need offense and we need good young players, that would be a no-brainer.

Miller+ Staff + 2nd for Gormley and the 12th
- OneKaneOneCup

This won't happen because Gormley's a stud stud D prospect, but I can't imagine Miller's stats under Tippett. See Bryzgalov n Smith

My aren't we a little sensitive tonight?

IF both are being actively shopped (which I doubt) answer me this?
Why would any team trade for Miller or Vanek at the draft when they know they could get them afterwards? Why waste a valuable 1st round pick in a so called 'deep draft'.

The asking price of both go WAY down after the draft because valuable trade pieces have just been used. After the draft your left with settling for other teams players with 1 year left on them or under performing roll players.

They would waste it if they wanted to go for it and satisfy their frustrated fanbases.

I think if Yandle was added it would take the pressure off of Myers and he would go back to playing like he did his first two seasons. Then move him after the season for a stud forward while his stock is high again. Dream world but that's all we have left here

Does anyone honestly think that Darcy would trade off miller or vanek in a post -draft weak sellers market?

That is the only reason Miller to Phoenix makes sense IMO.

They need the "Big Name" acquisition to draw in the fans.

They are definitely being shopped. Whether they trade them or not is another story, you don't think Darcy is worried about them walking for nothing during a rebuild? What if Vanek gets hurt and we cant move him at the deadline?

Honestly because Darcy would wait to the deadline to move one of them. Pommer got a good return Vanek would get about the same. Miller would need to be moved at the draft or not at all unfortunately

His stock is still relatively high, I say deal him NOW while we still have a chance.

That would help in Seattle. Any rumors on a possible move?
