They'd probably have to add in a huge conditional asset as well, if Kuznetsov doesn't play here. Probably a 1st next year.

Why would a team trade top dollar return for Miller when they have options galore on the market for they year. Nabakov, Thomas, Luongo, Smith, khudobin, possibly lehtinon, hillier to name some. how many teams are looking? Philly, Calg, Isles... Miller is a good goalie, but expensive and with questions about his tude. Buf should still trade him, but they should expect a treasure chest for him...

The thing about that deal, Filip Forsberg is not Kuznetzov. Not even on the same plane. Also, Erat is no slouch and has years left on his contract. And Latta will be a productive 3rd liner (10-15 goals/yr) in the NHL. I don't think Leonsis would let him deal Kuz.

Miller has little value on the trade market. i wouldn't expect any package for him to eclipse what LA got for Bernier. no point in dealing him unless the Sabres just want to move on from him.

I understand how good Kuznetzov is but are you going to take the risk and wait for him

1-2 years maybe more for him when you need that one puzzle piece to win that cup
