You people are unbelievable. Ryan Miller is continually at or near the top of the league in even strength save pctg, which most advanced statisticians believe is the best indicator of a goalie's ability. His GAA was unter 2.00 over the final 30gms of the season last year, and most importantly, the Sabres can retain a large portion of his salary in any deal, making him an affordable, accomplished goalie in a market with no similar options. Get a grip.

I have confronted that guy before, especially after he reported the Regher trade minutes after Homer did here, and when he reported the potential Stafford deal on trade deadline day again after Homer reported it. He also did the same this week when Beezer reported the Enroth deal, minutes later SFO reported it as his own minutes later on twitter. SFO might jump on IncarceratedBob's "rumor."

You forgot about Karri Ramo for Calgary also being brought over. Great stats in Europe that may or may not translate to the NHL in his second go round (played a bit in Tampa a few years back). At this point in the rebuild (or whatever you want to call it), we're going to see what we have before making any splashy moves. Ramo/Berra can battle it out for the top job, though maybe Berra plays mostly AHL this year to get used to North American hockey while Ramo and Joey MacDonald switch off every now and then this season, with hopefully the bulk of the starts going to Ramo. We don't want Miller (or Luongo, Bryzgalov, Smith, etc.).

Any truth to your knowledge that it was actually a deal of Forsberg to Buffalo for Stafford/Vanek/Miller type deal but it fell through at the last second and they just did that back up deal with NSH instead?
