Someone just emailed me this link. I was going to post the pic but thought better of it.
A whole camel stuffed with a lamb, stuffed with chicken, stuffed with fish.

Rumor Flyers are trading Coburn, Read, 1st for Miller.
And if that happens I'm making love to Rosie O'Donnel on top of Homer's carcus. |

Ok. how have they done? Russians really do scare me. The khl threat is very real and they are boom or bust never in between - Just5
Well of the three I remember:
Chereponov NYR (17): We all know his tragic story I'd think. Died of a heart attack during a KHL game.
Kuznetsov WAS(26): Still hasn't come over
Tarasenko STL(16): Looks like a player for the Blues. 8Gs 11As in 38 games his rookie year.

I'm not even a little bit convinced that even Jake Voracek is a game breaker. Yes, he is coming off a wonderful season and he's finally take big steps in his 5th season in the NHL. Some players such as Giroux, Richards and Carter have taken these steps much sooner within their careers. I still need to see more from Voracek. He piled up the points and finally hit 20 goals but I haven't seen very many clutch moments by anyone on this team. I'm talking stud. I'm talking star, if not super star. I hope the Flyers are ready to make a splash and bring back real star power to philly. - dingo8urbaby
He hit 20 goals, 22 to be exact, in 48 games. Not 82 games. That's scoring at a 37 goal pace over a full Season. And Voracek hasn't just done this Season, he continued from a very good second half of the previous Season. Every player develops at their own individual pace. The Flyers have all the star power they need.

Tarasenko was money in the first half of the short season.
Suffered a conky sometime in February I believe and wasn't the same. Kid was scoring at a point+ per game clip, if I remember right.... |

Great in the Dzone too. Hard worker.
Really love what I see from him. The way he protects the puck is JUST like Jags! |

Let's see, which is better?
Voracek signed for a decent cap hip for 3 more years
vs
Bobby Ryan who is UFA in 2 years + all the assets it takes to swing a deal for him |

Minus the physicality, for sure. Pretty nice shot, great passer and stick handler....loves to hold onto the puck....
I don't think Foppa used his ass as much as Jake does to protect that puck. Foppa would just tuck it away with that short stick.
A slightly related sidenote- lots of people forget how Forsberg was a frickin freight train when he was young. He'd hit HARD |

How dare you speak of the Cherry Hill Messiah of Hockey in such a manner.
It's said that when he dons the Orange and Black you will be able to see steam rise from the wounds of anyone that dares attempt to block his shot. |

Bobby Ryan is apparently a game breaker I guess. If they get him, I hope he meets those expectations.

I'd love to get him as a UFA if they have their #1 Dman and goalie in place, and can afford his salary at that point.
I can't see trading limited assets for him now with Kimmo gone in 1 yr and Mason the only goalie.

During the draft you will be surprised at who drops to us at 11. During the draft you will be more surprised the flyers didn't take said player. After the draft you will kick yourself thinking you shouldve known it was going to be max domi all along. |
