If they take Domi I wouldnt be upset at all. Kid is one hell of a player...
- jak521

Domi would be a great player to trade down for. He's prob one of the most NHL ready in this draft.

The 2001 draft was pretty lame
- MrBigglesworth

We picked Sharp and Seidenberg in that draft. That was a good haul if we had just held onto them.

the flyers will either trade with the Panthers or trade with Columbus for 2 lower picks...either way it is a win

I'd be fine if the Flyers trade down to acquire more (draft) assets.

I'll be more upset if they trade the pick for current roster players only because the team is not just one guy away from winning. They need multiple pieces. I'd rather just be patient.

The cupboard isn't exactly overflowing, organizationally speaking, and the Big Club is not SOCLOSE to a Stanley Cup such that they should be tossing around draft picks like casino chips at a Friday night bachelor party in AC.

A bit late I know - blame work for that but .. - found it interesting that the NHL felt it necessary to send a "don't you dare" memo about the doing end arounds the CBA with potential buyouts etc.

With Vinny now being bought out after the Leafs / Bolts rumored deal wondering who the next "name" player will be bought out ...

Yep, an interesting thought.
Apparently it won't be Leino. He's still hurt. Buffalo saying they won't buy out anyone... Not that he's a huge name... But I found it interesting.

another rule that makes no sense

why can't a team use a cbo on an injured player?
