What if he was born on a plane, traveling between China and the U.S.?
- feelingkettle

Or, what if he only puts 34 candles on his birthday cake, and invites Bettman to celebrate his 34th birthday for a second time.

What if he stops in the Dominican Republic and gets one of those funny birth certificates that changes his age by 3-5 years, making him 30 again.

He's 34 today and turning 35 on July 1st. The contract starts next season. I assume thats 35+
- PhillySportsGuy

If he was 34 on June 30th of the year the contract starts, it is not a 35+ contract.

What if he goes back in time and gets his child self, brings it to the future and has it sign a contract, then kills the young self and, since they're the same person, plays under the terms of the contract?

It will stop when Tim, Randy, and Sam leave Philadelphia forever.

You're the GM of a team devoid of forward depth. You could have one (right now) of Lecavalier for $4.5M, Jagr for $4M, or Briere for $3M. Which would you take, if any?

Once he killed the young self the future self would not exist.

Lecavalier @ 4.5. Best overall package of size, skill, leadership. Still has plenty in the tank.

Lecavalier, but he will cost you 4.5 for multiple years. Jagr is a one year deal and Briere is perhaps 2

- youarewrong

No. The death of his younger self would jump start a separate timeline in which he didn't exist while his current timeline continued on unaffected.

It's totally doable. We just need to get one of those time traveling from the future UFOs we were chatting about earlier in the week.
