The Calgary Flames have traded forward Alex Tanguay and defenceman Cory Sarich to the Colorado Avalanche in exchange for forward David Jones and defenceman Shane O'Brien.

On another topic, there is very cool event happening on July 25th at the Katz JCC in Margate. It's their 3rd annual Sportsnight, which this year features Danny Briere (who by then should know where he is playing next season!). All money raised that evening goes towards helping underprivileged kids in the Atlantic County area attend preschool and summer camp. Tix are $400 for a couples ticket or $250 for a single.
