If he is traded i'll likely be a Jordan Staal type move, where they get him to sign an extension as a condition of the deal.

Well he might take it for the 8 years of the deal but he'll probably reject if a NMC isn't part of the deal which I'd think Shero would refuse to give in a deal of this length so he could move him down the road if he wanted. If Letang took a 4 year deal then I could see the NMC being part of it.

Yeah, maybe if there's a NTC or NMC, but like you said, if he's offering 8 years, there's likely no full on NMC
