I love the sixers trade. They were stuck in NBA hell. they had no shot at being good the next 10 years with the salary cap structure. They gave up a lot, but they got the best player in the draft. They'll get a lottery pick of their own next year and probably another good pick from the Pelicans(top 3 protected). they'll be over $40 million under the cap in 14/15. |

they wouldn't have a choice $$ wise
edit, if Streit can get $5.25 mill for 4 years, at almost 36, imagine what Letang would do for you. - puckhead17
We didn't give up any roster players for Streit. That's a big difference. |

ready?
ok the charlotte hornets left town and became the new orleans hornets but then when hurricane katrina hit they played in oklahoma city and became the okc hornets then they came back to NO as the hornets. meanwhile charlotte got a team called the bobcats but now that the NO hornets are becoming the pelicans the bobcats are becoming the hornets again
try to digest that now - Crimsoninja
very impressive!!

who'd you rather have igodala or bynum - 2Real
Clearly Byhnam. He's off the books and the team wasn't going anywhere with Iggy who's hit is like $16 million. |

The Sixers are going to get good PR outta this, they had a good week.
Holmgren and Snider had to say how buying out Bryz and paying him till I retire was a smart business decision.
Bobby Ryan here we come

Which is baffling to me. It's doing the Pens a favor by trading this off-season for a player they (Pitt) can't retain as opposed to bidding for him on the open market next off-season.
GMs are there own worst enemies in these types of situations. |

My only question. Do they plan on bringing in a big time free agent this summer? I would hope not, need a total tank job. Hinkie should lend some notes to holmer |

yeah, exactly why we locked out, they will out bid each other, it seems the Pens will get a nice payday like they did with Staal & the BS of it all was that Staal wasn't going anywhere else but to his brothers team no matter what. |
