yeah, exactly why we locked out, they will out bid each other, it seems the Pens will get a nice payday like they did with Staal & the BS of it all was that Staal wasn't going anywhere else but to his brothers team no matter what.
- puckhead17

Yup, Carolina should have had the advantage there...

Most GMs are just not good at business.

Well Homer will do his thing, I think we all have that feeling.

Ruben Amario should be taking notes, this is how to blow up your franchise and start over

I think having the cap so high lent a hand in that more so, Carolina could have waited a year, knowing he was coming, or played hardball into the season, because the longer they waited, the less Shero could ask for.

probably because no one really gives a $hit about the sixers

pretty easy to dump & start over when they've sucked forever

Could be, and if so, this off-season is going to be drastically different, especially with all the buyout and FA assets to be available.

I take a shot at Ference before I think about Letang

My only question. Do they plan on bringing in a big time free agent this summer? I would hope not, need a total tank job. Hinkie should lend some notes to holmer
- Just5

I agree 100%. If they stand pat they'll get a lottery pick which they need. It's the only way to get better in the NBA. They should look to bring in 2 or 3 quality players in 14/15.

they need to make serious decisions on Mez & Grossman, I don't think either will be 100% if they come back

Holmgren gives picks and NMC out like candy.

I'm sure he will give out another ridiculous contract soon enough. This time there's no buyouts to save his ass.

No haha I imagine he wont be able to, and quite frankly, if there was this much movement on Sunday Im not sure Id like it.

I have no patience for a Flyers rebuild even if it would be best (not saying it is, I have no answers for this team, Im confused by its talent)

Where would your rate the Flyers heading into next season? Top 16 team? Top 8? Top 4?

Big difference, no one cares, likes roots, or gives a damn about the sixers, in comparison to the flyers, how can "homer" rebuild when the fan base wants to win NOW, not in 4 or 5 years, do the sixers have a fan base that wants to win now? no one really knows, or again, cares because they are so badly mismanaged for decades, that they are expected to suck, so getting to .500 is a wooooooooooooooooooo!!!!

You have to imagine that's going to change. At least I hope.

Guys in the Pens blog are speculating Letang didn't sign that 8 year, $56 million deal because it didn't contain a NTC.

Players need to get over it. It's not like they're making minimum wage and then being asked to move them and their families to another city... Suck it up.

That's just basketball in general. Many cities could careless about it. How would you list the Philadelphia fans?

1. Eagles
2. Phillies
3. Flyers
4. Sixers
