Despite being a Habs fan, think Strombo is a great choice. Great interviewer, seems to be a good guy. Little "non-traditional" but think he'll do a good job.

He was sort of CBC's hip, new media, news guy, gained some fame as a MuchMusic VJ, then moved onto talk show type format. I know sounds douchey but he manages to pull it off without too much pretension. And I believe he actually started off in sports before the whole VJ thing, so not completely out of his element.

I'm not a fan of him at all..plays the hip card too often and he did a awful job interviewing Bobby Orr last fall when his book came out...tried to be Mr. Cool and came across as a ass wipe..Peter Mansbridge of CBC did a great job...

I don't watch a lot of the intermission stuff actually...Grapes and McLean I do but rest of it is background noise unless PJ goes on a rant...Friedman is ok...Healey is a numbskull..Weekes is useless..
