Hmm, Seguin is a boderline first C, and Kessel would be the most prolific scorer he would ever have played with... I can easily see it - Danformo
He's also a kid learning the game still who has serious playoff experience. Can't see them doing this, believe it when i see it. |

Many believe it's a ploy to spark interest in Lou. Schneider only has 1 year left. I wouldn't pay toomuch
Xxkeaner17xX - keaner17
How'd Schneider look in the playoffs? Too high a price. Plus now they are keeping Luongo after all this BS and dragging him through the coals? No way, this is BS. Either it's BS or Gillis is a bigger moron then I first suspected. |

Not important. She'll write five blogs about nothing in one day and when something of importance comes along she is completely absent. Look at it this way, it's less of her crap for fans of other teams to read and come in here and torture us. |

You know what's funny? I'm not privy to Seguin's private life (although that photoshopped sign those 2 girls are holding up during a pre-game skate is hilarious), I don't want any part of him either. Aside from the fact he'd cost a ton, something tells me a Seguin acquisition could fracture the locker room a bit i.e. bringing in another younger star-type. This is Tavares' team now, and I want it to stay that way. |

I doubt Tavares would care if we brought in a talented young player. Seguin isn't half the player he is. |

I dunno, a see a lot of people here that really, really want him on the team. He wants 6 years, $6M per. He ain't coming here. |

I have some kind of a feeling he is not well liked on that team, why the hell else would a guy like him be available?? If even half of what 178 posted is true, he's not worth the ransom it would take to acquire him.
I'm sure if you asked Seguin if he were a star, he'd emphatically answer yes. |

I'm not a big Horton fan. He'll cost a ton, money-wise, he's prone to concussions, and he's gonna be on the downside of his career very, very soon. I would possibly consider him on a 2 or 3 year deal, but Horton is looking for a "home run" type contract. Pass.
He's actually younger than I thought (edit), but still, he has already played a lot of games in this league. |

I'll tell you one thing, I like the idea of adding Tyler Bozak.
And, call me nuts, if Jagr is available in August still, I would not mind him playing on JT's wing one bit (of course, if we haven't addressed that yet).
This year's UFA crop is kinda poop if you ask me. A lot of mediocre players are gonna be making 4-6 million bucks per year. |

Bickell's nice, but, poop, he is looking at a 4 or 5 million dollar contract. He is gonna, rightfully, want years too.
If the Isles can get Elias on a cheap, one or two year deal, plug him in at 2nd line center, I wouldn't mind that either. He can still play. |

I said this same thing a couple weeks ago and got beat up for it. There's a second line center and i said the same thing about Jagr. Guy is a lot of fun to watch and may be awesome on JT's wing. I just don't know how he'll be through an 82 game season? |

That's my biggest concern, too. He works well with young players, which is a big plus on our team. That poop with Cheraponov is still sad to think about.
Bozak is a nice player, has already proven he can score, and is one of the best at the dot. He is young too. I really want Nielsen on the 3rd line this season.
I'll say it again, if we haven't addressed the 2nd line center a couple of weeks into July and Elias is still out there, I would throw him a 2-year, $7 or $8 million offer. He can still score, he knows our rivalries well, and is a good teammate. |

UFA's like Horton and Jagr make sense, but let's not fool ourselves, we were a playoff team but also NJD, NYR and PHA all faltered because of injuries, fa losses, coach fatigue etc. Isles need to post some serious season numbers but we have to stick with youth which means to stay the course else we will be a one round team forever.
Getting a top goalie may help but this is still a team with youth and a lot of fragile vets. It's still gonna take some time.
Still think our defense needs to get those younger prospects on board and get seasoned. Likewise Grabner, Okposo and Bailey need to prove they can find their games before January or else we have no serious offense. |

Lastly, just thinking out loud, thank God Cizikas dropped in the draft like he did, and that Snow took a chance on him. He is a big part of this team moving forward. |
