How about Riberio and Horton.... add Mike Smith in, and call it a day.... - jimmc7722

In order for Zadorov to be there, a whole lot of teams between 8-15 would have had to hire clones of Mike Milbury as their GM. I'll take either Zykov or Morin, myself. We have lots of small and fast. We need large and angry.
As for the goalies...he has to do something....and by something, I mean a solid, veteran goaltender, not Al Montoya. If Snow doesn't understand that MOST of the reason our team fell short of at least having a shot at the playoffs for the last two seasons prior to this one concerned there having been FAR too many games played by sh*t goaltenders, then he DOES need to be fired, pretty much immediately. Bad defense hurts, and so does lack of offense, but if your goaltender is cr*p, you are f***ed, no matter what the 18 guys without the pads on are doing. - dcb1

Zadorov won't be taken in the top 10, the kid is a project. There's still a good chance he'll be gone when the Islanders pick, but anyone that takes him the top 10 must have Scott Howson running the draft. |

If we have no goalie; or pick up a Biron or Montoya to play goal with Poulin, we will not make the playoffs. I know everyone is saying Garth will pick up a goalie, but as of now I see no indictation of this. Its a big problem and he should be aggressive right now trying to pick one up. - mighty13duck
I'm keeping the faith but I agree. Who knows? Maybe he is actively shopping for one? Trying to give him the benefit of the doubt. |

Everything I read has him slotted for mid to late first. Everyone on here seems to shoot down the idea of him being there at 15? |

Based on the past it seems Snow will pick up some mediocre back up and go with Poulin. Personally I rather have Nabakov than Montoya and Poulin. |

I think because he wants to see what he's worth to other teams... Someone will be desperate and throw more years and money then they should at him. |

Interesting to see what Garth is thinking or not thinking. I hope he doesn't have the same mindset as some on here, who think Poulin will be the number one next year |

Most of that is because Philly picks ahead of us, and most people assume they'd draft him. One of Zadorov or Sam Morin should be available. |

Just a difference of opinion. You say toe ma toe, I say toe maa toe.
None of us are experts. You dont mind waiting 8, 9, 10 yrs or more. Some of us are ready to make a splash now. We've been patient.
The rebuild must reach its peak eventually. Why not now? - SCLI
because we arent a couple pieces away, we still need ATLEAST 2 solid NHL D-men, an NHL Goalie & a top line Wing (I think we could use 2 honestly)
Making a trade for one of them wont fix this team, But we MAY have them in our system.
Strome/Nino/Kabanov/Petrov could be the 1st line players we need.
Reinhart/Donovan/Mayfield/amongst others, are in the pipe on D.
And we know the Goalie situation Nilsson/Poulin/Koskinen
Most of these guys are within 2 years from the big team.. 2 years!!!
Free agents/ waiver pick ups.. stay the course.

I don't think anyone on here thinks/wants that? Snow knows(he has too)that this team NEEDS a starting goaltender. The question to me is will he address it? |

Who has said that? I'm not saying Poulin can't be a number one, but he needs to make a significant leap in his development for that to happen. Maybe with extensive playing time this year he can adjust to the NHL game and improve enough to provide hope in 2014, but I really think everyone is just keeping the seat warm for Nilsson that year.

I'd love Philly to grab Nurse (McNabb is his uncle)
The collective groaning that would come from that city as they'd realize McNabb would suddenly be involved with the Flyers would be AWESOME!

You never know? We may have two new ones coming up this season? Adding a top 4 and a legit starter will not set this team back and will propel them in the right direction. We can still "stay the course" and be successful while adding to our line up. We aren't talking about trading the farm here. Sign Emery and Ference. There you go see how easy that was? No prospects given up. Two legit NHL'ers who could immediately help our line up without giving too much up including salary. Still "staying the course"... |

I don't know where it's coming from. Tattoo accused me last night of saying I thought Poulin should be the #1...Never said anything of the sort. It's like dealing with the mainstream media around here!

Listen I hope I am wrong. I hope he finds a goalie that can help take this team to the next level. I just have my doubts. |
