That is what EK said, TSN said multi year deal. - coffee junkie
Can you image if after a year he does go back. He would still being paid his buy-out contract, and be given a new contract, most likely for a good chunk of change. He would be the higest paid player ever lol.... |

Yep, I think TSN is where I read that. Or some writer on twitter mentioned that Vinny is looking for a bridge deal to get him to retirement. |

He had a down half-year. He is a starter. He had a .926 in 46 games in 11-12 for the blues. Negating this last bad year, he has a career .918. Bryz has a .913 career. If Halak is more compatible with our system (don't know that he is), then he can be a very solid 1A goalie with Mason. - JAKEw1234
Jaro is more of a reflex goaltender.
The one catch with me, is that he does have some injury question marks, but I think he would be a decent goaltender to have in the system. I'm biased though, I wanted the Flyers to trade for him back when Montreal was shopping his services.
He also went through some media BS for the Habs with the whole Price/Halak ordeal so its not as if he hasn't dealt with a tough media market before. |

My big concern with a guy who is just looking for a 1 year deal, that would allow him to go back to Tampa, is how hard will be dedicate himself and play for the team that gives him the 1 year deal. |

Great point about Halak....RE: The media.
Hasn't Carey Price been pretty much personally slandered in Hablandia in the past for his commitment? He doesn't seem ready to hide behind his agent's skirt. |

Could this mean that the Flyers are making this a defenseman first draft. Asking Pronger his opinions on who he could develop the best. Like Schenn. |

Could be. I think I've heard that Pronger has aspirations to be a front office type after his...ahem....playing days are over. This could be an internship, of sorts.
Or, practically speaking, it could simply mean that they pay Pronger a ton of money and need to use him in SOME capacity to justify the expense (regardless of whether or not it's insurance picking up the check or not).

Sorry, I was hasty as I am at work and under a deadline. I didn't mean to suggest Halak is not a good goalie, I think he is and would love to see him in O and B. That said, I'm not sold on trading Read for him because I don't think his trade value and our other options make it worth it at this time. If they don't take a 2nd rounder or less then I put this as a plan C for trading Read for him. |

I have a pair of JC's just like them. I call them Jerusalem Cruisers. Looks like what Jesus walked around in.
Anyway, best pair of sandles I ever had. Bostonians. Bought them 5 years ago and wear them anytime I go out in the summer. Most comfortable, long lasting ever. Anyway.... Stop making fun of the JC's. |

Haha I'd laugh if this off-season ended up being the way I wanted.
Buy out Bryz
Deal Coburn/Hartnell
Draft Zadorov
Bring in mentor for Mason
Sign vet leadership (Jagr or Morrow) |

I don't think that's a legit twitter. Or at least I'm not seeing it. Unless this isn't twitter? And if it isn't twitter, it's not a true medium for journalism. |
