Any more buyouts? Again, the Habs are suppose to buyout Kaberle but it doesn't look offical yet. |

Sounds like another Mike Richards and/or Eric Lindros. - BulliesPhan87
He isn't the only one who has that comparison in this draft. It's become a common one to use. |

Here's a full breakdown of Pulock from thehockeywriters.com. It has a list of his strengths and weaknesses, his ETA to the NHL, his estimated potential, comparisons to current NHL players, a breakdown of his skills, and risk rating as well as a reward rating.
http://thehockeywriters.c...3-draft-prospect-profile/
To sum it up, the think he's a very low risk, high reward prosect. They think he'll be a top 3 two-way guy and a PP quarterback. They give is offensive potential an 8.5/10, and his defensive an 8/10. At his highest potential they consider him a "morph of Erik Karlsson and Kevin Shattenkirk"
Here's for Zadorov:

Here's for Ristolainen "The Finnish Pronger":

Why is it when I hear Rasmus Ristolainen, I think Joni Pitkanen?

Idk I actually do think Chris Pronger when I think of him, though. I wouldn't mind taking him at 11. |

That would be awesome. They should have one per year. |

This is a gem.
http://www.broadstreethoc...-of-developing-defensemen
During Bob Clarke's two tenures as GM, he drafted 65 defensemen, 46 of them never played a game for the Flyers.
Splendid work. Good job, good effort.
My favorite is 1997 Round 9, a dman by the name of Par Styf. Can't make it up. All the dmen he drafted were Styfs - PLindbergh31
Let's see the facts on how that compares to other GM's in the same era. That way there is some persepective.

After much thought and consideration I've come to the collusion that I have no idea what Philly will do or what I'd like them to do. Can't wait til Sunday to just sit back and relax and let this draft all unfold. Well maybe not relax |

The Flyers have missed the playoffs... what? 7 times in 45 years?
Been to the Cup Finals like 8 times...
lets see, lost once to Montreal (who only won about 7 cups in the 70s)
lost once to the Islanders (who won 4 cups in a row)
lost twice to the Oilers in the 80s (a team that many think was the greatest ever)
lost once to Detroit who was in the process of winning two cup finals in a total of 8 Games
lost once to chicago in a series that ended in OT in game 6
You know.. I'd say the flyers have done pretty well, regardless of their apparent inability to draft and develop defensemen.

SHHHH! You'll ruin the narrative that anybody who believes in how this franchise conducts its business is stupid, naive and prefers Kool-Aid over all other beverages.

Me, too -- I probably did a keg just in 2007-2008, when the franchise that finished dead last in the NHL the season before opted not to tank for the next eight seasons but instead made it to the conference finals.
I prefer my Kool-Aid in grape, for the record.

The sad thing, some of those that do that are actually fairly intelligent folks who resort to being morons because they simply can't take anything positive, lest their hopes be dashed....you know, like 5 year old kids.
Sometimes, people are just idiots. Try to ignore it and move on. |

That's always a good plan. If someone posts some facts to respond to obvious rhetoric. Just reply and post the picture of the kool aid man. Rather then responding with a sensible and knowledgeable reply.

I think if you get Edmonton 7, at best Nichushkin can drop, at worst Nurse. It wouldn't be a bad move. Is it possible Paarvi might be the plus? - youarewrong
paarvi is a player i've had my eye on since he was drafted, that said i think we'd have to add to coburn and the 11th for paarvi and the 7th, maybe our 2nd rounder |
