Were not the 82, 83 and possibly 79 drafts more driven by McCammon than Allen?

Shame Zubrus was signed. While I know it is hard to project defensemen, if it really looks as though Colorado will pass on Jones, I would have been a proponent of seeing whether Coots, Coburn and #11 would have pried the #2 pick and their 2nd rounders this year and next out of FLA. I would have then pursued Zubrus. I guess it depends where you think Laughton's development will be. I see them both playing the same role with Coots being better. The question being whether will it be that much better to justify having both if there is the remote possibilty to draft a stud defenseman like Jones?

I think the Pens will trade Letang right before the draft. Similar to the Staal trade. I think the Flyers will stay put at 11. After that they will move quite a bit i'm sure.
