Getting 4M in Cap space would be part of the return. He has one year left. Not much risk there. - MJL
unfortunately, cap space is more valuable to us than what mez projects to be at this point in his career. |

That still might be a stretch to even get either of them but I'd give it a shot to ask - ob18
Button has Pulock going 24. I'm not sure I believe that he'll still be there, but that might be a possibility. |

Only because of the injury factor. If Meszaros was a healthy player, I wouldn't trade him unless the return was very good.

What I am getting at, basically, is that Mesz won't fetch much in a trade. I would be fine with moving him to open up the cap space, but I hope people don't think that he'll bring in a high return: a late draft pick & cap savings
The "risk" is on another team taking the 4m onto a payroll for someone who is now, unluckily, "injury prone." |

I can see it both ways, he was hurt last year & is limited with experience at the spot but has like many in every draft in "upside" and if a team feels it's too good to pass up he'll go sooner. |

I agree about the return part. But with only one year left on his deal. There isn't much risk for a team acquiring him.

That's why its more likely that the Flyers move Coburn. |

I believe the disadvantage Pullock has is being a converted forward and there are some questions about his defensive prowess combined with average skating. Above all else, I would draft a d-man with a higher defensive IQ over offensive ceiling personally. |

Actually you can thank Tony and Doug for that resigning, it was a player option for the second year in his contract. He wasn't opting out of anything, he might not have skill, but he knows how to collect a check. |

Sixers ended up with Houston's and Brooklyn's 2nd round picks next in addition to our 1st and NO's 1st. Great stuff. |

The in depth reviews I've read about him have been quite the opposite. I think people are reading far too much into his lack of psychicality as a knock on his defensive zone play. |

then they would be out 2 dmen, cause mez is unreliable @ this point...unless there's some grand plan to acquire another one. |

I know they're expecting Meszaros to be declared healthy and ready to play sometime next month. But trading Coburn, and relying on Meszaros is risky. I can only hope of they do, that they bring in another defenseman.
