Well, let's face it, he's had 23 Red Bulls and 6 Five hour energies in the past 12 hours. He's not sleeping for another week - Jsaquella
im on here a good bit, and i have a fairly high opinion on a lot of the players on the flyers roster, so this isnt just irrational drivel, but jesus. if hes going to just clump random names together, i wouldve hoped it would have been a little better than that.
even some of you guys have to agree that proposal kind of leaves the pens pretty shortchanged. |

Yup, you speak the truth there.
They'll probably get shutout with 2 singles tomorrow. - wolfhounds
ugh. the high likelihood of that actually happening is laughable. although to be fair, even when they were one of the premier teams in the league, they were notorious for having their bunches and subsequent droughts |

He should be able to assemble this summers roster by the start of the draft and then we can compare that in a year |

It does, but at the same time, got to wonder how big a market there is for him, given his salary demands.
I mean, let's face it, there's probably a 0.00000001% chance that the Flyers and Pens make a deal like this. |

I was laughing tonight when we were told Howard wouldn't start the next 2 games because lefties were pitching, and I thought, he's making $25 million per and can't hit left-handers now? I mean, the over-shift on him is pathetic (and embarassing) enough, but now it's just getting downright pathetic.
Of course, no Howard and 16 runs tonight...coincidence? |

his salary demands are too much for the pens with the way they are set up, but in relativity to the rest of the league, its not astronomically off (granted, i think the way salaries are trending is ridiculous as it is, but oh well) letang is a 2M better player than streit or gonchar.
if they werent the pens and flyers and they were just team X and Y, the flyers actually really do have some of the best forward pieces to deal in the league. however, this trade really is just underwhelming. im not going to totally trash the value in it, as even though i dont like him schenn still does have some value, but the other two pieces are pretty irrelevant. and value evaluation aside, it just doesnt really fill needs for the pens. |

Yup. it's a shame, but these ridiculous deals are just bad for franchises. And you're right, I'd be shocked if they could deal him for anything more than some pine tar and bat weights.
All Howard has to do is pop the ball down 3rd every once in a while for a free base hit and that over-shift crap will cease. But apparently that's just too demanding of him.
