That's a pretty likely scenario for the draft. If they really want a forward at 8, he'd be there guy.

This thing about the Sabres drafting Lindholm is squarely contingent on the Edmonton taking a defensemen over lindholm. Or what if Carolina or EDM trade out of the top 10 to someone who really likes Lindholm or Nichushkin.

My point is if the Sabres are looking for a forward at 8, it's not un realistic to think Shinkaruk would be their pick.

I agree we go forward at 8 but it's not that unrealistic for us to go D. Scoring can be had at 16. The top flight D will go in the top 10
