Agreed. I think it would be a pretty idiotic move for them. They have enough talented forwards. They need a tough, shut-down D man that can play 25 minutes a night.

I am not worried about EDM taking Lindholm as much as I am worried about them trading with a 9-12 team to move up to 7 to get Lindholm in front of us.

I think that they know Nurse/Risto/Zadarov they could get in 9-12 and acquire an extra pick or prospect in the process.

I do like his style of game a lot... he is aggressive on the forecheck.. active all over the ice... set up his teammates with some good passes..


I just don't know if I see Nicklas Backstrom in him like people like to compare.

I think that we end up with Nichuskin or Lindholm almost guaranteed.

I would even go as far to say that if we don't get one of them to take Shinkaruk over Risto/Nurse.

I myself have said he puts up Backstrom-like NUMBERS, but I agree in saying he doesn't play like him. It's weird... Usually I can find comparables pretty easily, but Lindholm seems to play a pretty unique game. It's almost like a cross between Zetterberg and Datsyuk... I love his skating at 3:10, you don't see that too often.

I really dig that his instinct when the puck gets to the point is to go right to the front of the net and lean into a defender. As he grows into himself, that taught instinct is exactly what you want.

Overall, that was probably the best prospect video I've ever seen - the highlight reel ones usually just go to show how crappy defense is in other leagues.

I CANNOT see carolina taking Risto or Nurse at 5th.. that is just WAY too early for one of them with all of the great forwards on the board.

I might like it if we were at around 10. The only D I'd pick in the top 10 in this draft is Jones. It's too stacked with offense to get Nurse.

Shinkaruk would be top 3 next year...just saying.

I have a gut feeling that Nichuskin is going to get the Grigorenko treatment and fall to at least 8 or 9..

that is just my real gut for this weekend.

I also have a strong gut that someone in 1-7 will trade their pick.
