wow. that's alot to give.

first glance, you'd think nashville would take that s they get a true snipe and a still a very good pick.
but i think it would be contingent on a contract extension. not only that but would vanek be willing to take a paycut? not sure nashville would be prepared to pay him 7 mil long term. especially with weber already on the books

It depends on who the other roster player is for me. I said earlier this week I would deal Vanek and the 8th pick for the 5th so for the 4th, it's not a big deal to me. Vanek is gone in a year or less anyway.

I wouldnt give up that much for the 4th let alone the 5th, just move Vanek for a later first if anything. A value player is at 8, maybe as much as 4.

Yeah, Darcy doesn't seem to be one to "dangle" a massive deal. It would be more like him to dangle the 16th and Vanek where Nashville loves it and hates it because they want Vanek but don't really like the deal.
