I wouldn't give up all that for the 4th pick, my opinion. - SABRES 89
yup, this is the deepest draft in 10 years, they should be focused on getting more picks, not moving up. |

We need more bodies that can play not less and unless you get the #1 pick you are paying to much to move 3 spots.

Sabres need to draft an elite player (prospect). Time to trade up. |

Darcy should stay with the 8th and 16th and maybe consider keeping Vanek and add a player(s) for him. Doubt that happens. |

Who says we can't get a game changer at 8?

This team is a mess and an elite player won't help, we need more then just 1 elite player. We need more pieces then that. |

Then you will replace that first and roster player when you trade Miller to the Flyers. - gibby111
You and I think a like. The Sabres are going to have to overpay to get into the top 4 and if they get Barkov or Drouin, that player will be the new, young elite player who will be with the Sabres for a decade, and will undoubtedly be a notch or two above pick 8.
Then, the Miller trade, like you said, will replenish the Sabres' assets. |

Too much risk IMO. Sabres cant afford to have Vanek leave for nothing after next season. |

Darcy should be noplace near this team anymore, I hope this turns out for the better or maybe it shouldn't, that's one way to get rid of him. |

When u think about it.... I doubt vanek resigns in nshville so it is literally one year of vanek and 8th to move up 4 spots.
It isn't horrible...
I have a feeling thag flynn or staff couod be the roster player .. maybe adam |

Vanek won't leave for nothing if adding pieces to better the team doesn't work, they will have no problem moving him at the deadline. |

The Sabres, hopefully, got at least 2 top 6 forwards in last year's draft, have Armia, Macabe, Pysyk among other to build around. They've lost with Vanek, I think it's time to turn the page and build with elite talent and not 2nd and 3rd line talent. |

I'd be ok with #8,vanek & Adam for #4
Barkov or drouin is better than lindholm at 8.
Vanek is the currency to move up, as I see Adam not looked favorably in the organization |

Possible, i worry about moving Vanek at the deadline since his style of play usually leaves him dinged up for the final half of the season |

Darcy doesn't know how to build a winning team that has been proven. |

Darcy has built a winning team, (not Stanley Cup winning but a winning team nonetheless) he just couldn't keep it together |

Look i'm not trying to sound negative but I think alot of people are expecting to much from Darcy, he has failed to many times. |

Totally agree, let's take a shot at an elite talent, enough with trying to have 95% of the roster as marginal 2nd/3rd liners.
Time for Darcy to actually step out of his comfort range and take a major chance on a game changer |

This I agree with you. But in the past he would never have tried to get into the top 4 of a draft; he seems to have at least realized that how he built teams in the past sucked and TP is motivating his white, milky ass to try different things. |

He has continuously set this franchise back year after year, more good players walk out the door then through it. |

I'm fearful of how he handles this Miller/Vanek situation. It makes me cringe. Like someone else said at least if he screws up royally, it should be the final nail in his coffin. He can't mess this up and keep his job can he? |
