Totally agree, let's take a shot at an elite talent, enough with trying to have 95% of the roster as marginal 2nd/3rd liners.

I'm fearful of how he handles this Miller/Vanek situation. It makes me cringe. Like someone else said at least if he screws up royally, it should be the final nail in his coffin. He can't mess this up and keep his job can he?

While he has made some good trades, I'm just not sure he has the stones to put his job on the line. Always feels like he plays it safe.

I can't really blame him. Very few teams win if they haven't gotten multiple top 10 and top 5 picks.

Darcy should stay with the 8th and 16th and maybe consider keeping Vanek and add a player(s) for him. Doubt that happens.

I wouldnt mind that, I am sure (maybe not 100%) but fairly sure they could make a deal with a team that would move Miller for a first this year and keep Vanek.

We need to keep Vanek to mentor our younger players and to provide scoring for us next year and in the future

While this is true, you don't know how much ownership played into that. Im no Regier fan, I thought he should have gone before Ruff, but he's here and maybe he really was handcuffed by previous ownership. I don't think he has the greatest track record with the draft but his trade skills are pretty good. We can only hope he gets it right this time

I'm going to guess it's a cap/salary friendly roster player. Nashville isn't NYC so I doubt they'd take overpaid Stafford. Someone on twitter guessed McNabb, even though he's not a roster player he'd be good to pick up.
