Hes already a good checking C for the NHL. The Wild just wanted his offense to be more well rounded. Hes already an NHL level checking C
- CaptPantalones

He has a real small sample in the nhl to say that. I hope he is. The problem is we have alot of hopes. tHATS WHY WE ARE WHERE WE ARE. I hope they get rid of multiple players but we will seee

defensively responsible is fine. Lets hope he can learn to actually score.
- RynoBull

He will. Its going to come with time as he adjusts to the speed of the NHL and hopefully plays with better linemates

Lets also not lose sight of the fact that the kid did play almost 90 games in 3 different leagues last year, and a tournament to boot

So we can blame lindy for Grigs, but not for myers or foligno?
- RynoBull

Foligno?? No we had high expectations for him because of the way him Ennis and stafford ended the previous season.

Myers deserves some of the blame for showing up out of shape. But I do think Lindy used him way too much

I think Girgensons a top 6 player for the next decade, I hope so anyway. Pick 14 in the draft should be.
- GilPerreault11

if we muddle along for the next decade, I agree

If they are going to build a contender for years, I would hope there are 6 guys up front better on the roster

I can see him as a 55 point player and a pest if he gets 19 minutes a game

Look at the Bruins and their success. Or the Hawks, Kings etc..

All of them have a big bodied winger who can do the dirty work and score goals. Girgensons sure looks the part

Some of the blame no all of the blame. Showing up out of shape is inexcusable and shows a lack of heart. Get a ten mill sign bonus and u cant work out dont care about the team. would move a guy like that in a minute

Bickell was on Chicagos first line. Girgensons has more talent IMO.

So you know for a fact he doesn't care about the team? Do you think Vanek cares about the team?

It sounds like they want Girgensons to eventually be their response to a Milan Lucic. Problem is, when he gets to that point, Lucic will probably be a non-factor.

The bruins have chara and bergeron the hawks have toews and kane. The big bodied winger is nice and makes a dif. But most teams have one. Elite players are what matters

Roy. As much as I would want to say Hasek I can't. Roy in Montreal changed the way to play in goal. Not to mention the single best smack talk of all time!

Broduer benefited alot from the system but still is one of the best

Hasek was the most fun to watch out of all three. Had he won a cup here I would have to change the order

Grigorenko is going to be a true #1. You just have to have the patience to let him develop.
- CaptPantalones

I'm gonna disagree on that one, the Sabres are concerned about him, I know that much.

Moot point. You'd still have your own Lucic, which would be a great thing.

Give him a full season on a real line and we can take a look at him again. He is still a teenager. Lots to learn still and plenty of time to grow as a player
