Zubrus - navinrjohnson
Ah yes. Couldn't remember |
|
|

Biron got them the first pick in the second rd so in essence it was biron for zubrus and move down a few spots - navinrjohnson
Yep, and Darcy hit that one out of the park when he drafted TJ Brennan |

Why? He is an awful "defensemen". He is more of a forward that plays on the blue line if you ask me. We need more of the shut down guy type - Stripes77
He is actually a very good defender, puck management is his downfall. Relies on his dynamic physical skill set too often. Needs to be more cerebral. It's why he isn't a very good PP QB. |

Anyhow, if the final piece to get either the pick to snag MacKinnon or Barkov is Grigorenko, I do it in a heartbeat and never look back. |

PK, karlsson are the only better all around players in the east IMO on the blue line
Kronwall may enter that conversation
I think Chara is on the decline |

I agree, but something was in Darcy's head to deal him after all the development time and, yeah, knowing he was going to dump RR and Leopold. Some things just don't add up with darcy - GilPerreault11
I still thing they should have tried him as a winger since they had to keep him up on the big club
4th line winger and second team pp d man |

It's not that the Penguins aren't willing to pay him 7M/year, it's that they won't include a NMC. I don't blame them (or Letang) |

PK will have a down year this year IMO, most of his offense cam on the PP and he is still just plain stupid. I would take Mcdonagh over him. |

yeah it's a pickle
perhaps they can do a partial NTC, like miller and pommer have
seems the two sides can meet in the middle |

And, according to Elliot Freidman, Letang's feelings were hurt when a source reported that someone in the Pens organization said coaches didn't believe he was the Pens best D-man |

Well arguably he was just kind of thrown into the thick of things and never had true professional level development. He was also sheltered by being paired with strong defensive d partners until recently. |

He was supposed to be the defensive guy playing with Leopold who was awful himself. Then he was paired with Regehr who was very mediocre to bad. Regehr played like he didnt want to be here. Then he looked his best when they played him with Ehrhoff |

It's now or never for a potential trade. If Letang is a Penguin at the trade deadline, he is a Penguin for the playoff run.
Although I obviously hold Friedman in the highest regard. |

for those who are near NJ
As part of the draft weekend, there will be a prospects camp Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at the Prudential Center practice rink that will be open to the public, but seating is limited. Scheduled to attend are top prospects Seth Jones, Nate MacKinnon, Jonathan Drouin and Nurse and former Devils Ken Danekyo, Grant Marshall, Jim Dowd and Bruce Driver. - See more at: http://blogs.northjersey....son/#sthash.OdKwjJbS.dpuf |
