I wonder if it will be a big blockbuster trade with St Louis,

They have 3 goalies and some very good defenseman... with Couts going back in a package deal of some sort

Couts Read Coburn 11

Coburn for Gagner

Makes Schenn available for younger Dman somewhere else

- aosplayo

Probably would be more to it than that but I would like to get Gagner, we need a second line center.

If Wiggins was a certainty I would agree. What if they don't get Wiggins? They traded their best player, who is 23 for a project big man with an injury.
- PLindbergh31

There will be plenty of good players in next years draft.

Besides they aren't going anywhere with Holiday either.

Noel will be fine. People in a panic over his knee b/c of the Bynum situation. Completely different scenario's.

They will be worse then that they are going full on tank mode
- griouxmvp2012

Worse than 14-68? You are talking historically bad. I don't know there are a lot of bad teams in the NBA. They only have one shot at Wiggins with their pick. The New Orleans pick they acquired is 1-5 protected.

As constructed they weren't going anywhere. Keeping Holiday and building around him would have been the way to go. Holiday is a winning player on a good team.

If you take out AP and put in a newly signed Shatty then it becomes more likely

I don't follow basketball much.
What does it mean that a draft pick is protected?

Not saying he is, but if they want Coburn as bad as reported you got to ask for more then he is worth and use your position of strength.....hell i would ask about all their young fowards hall rnh etc.....not gonna happen but i would definitely ask....Coburn to EDM is all about getting the number 7 pick

It means if the pick they got from New Orleans turns out to be a top 5 pick, the Sixers don't get it.

They could have 1 and 6 in a deep deep draft and tons of space in a stacked fa class they are setting up to be crazy good in a few years

Alex Gologoski got Pittsburgh James Neal and Matt Niskanen.....Defensemen get a really high value so yes Jordan Eberle and I am serious....why not its silly season right maybe the Flyers can rob someone else for a change
