I think this is a bad trade. Just my opinion - Deasr1
Me too. Wait till draft day at least and see who is at 7 |

maybe if Edmonton included a 2nd rounder? - ob18
that's what i'm thinking (preferably the 37th, obviously). what about that klefbom kid? is that entirely out of the question? (yea... mps, the pick swap, and klefbom seems like a hell of a package. i'm sure that's too much)
paajarvi's contract demands would also be relevant, as he is an rfa. if he's been a problem in that area that would spoil it for me |

I suggested Petry who can play as well. Don't know it's all rumors so it can go many ways |

Over-payment. Their 1rst would have to be coming back. D-men are a premium. |

NHL - Flyers and Oilers closing in on a deal, source says they Flyers want to swap 11th for 7th and Paajarvi for Coburn. - Winning
Pääjärvi is a relatively big guy (6'3'', 200+lbs) that is just starting to figure out how to better use his size, which is why he stuck around in the NHL this season compared to previous ones. I can see that Holmgren would be interested in his size + that he still has got some nice puck-handling skills. And considering that he wanted to get bigger forwards... This could be a trade with high upside in the long run. |

I'm VERY concerned with the D without Coburn so if they have a backup plan then I agree on the 2nd being more valuable. |

You've been doing a great job with the draft blogs and analysis of past drafts/trades. Been fun to read them all. - Jsaquella
Yes. Thanks for all the hard work and amazing insight! Truly blessed to have you scribing for my beloved Flyers. |

I don't mind the Edmonton deal at all and I think they would take the 7th pick and move up higher |

remember, couturier is already a bust at 20,
and JVR was a bust at age 23
and seidenberg was a bust at 25. |

i'd rather have a second rounder than the first round pick swap (the high one at least) |

Think Markus Naslund pre-Vancouver. - bmeltzer
seeing as tho its was pretty much a given we were sending Coburn or Mez on their way...i'd rather get a large/fast/skilled forward who gives the Flyers the opportunity to sooth all the fans who cried after JVR left.
again, the kid is only 22. i'm all about this trade if it's the real deal.

Do you like that deal?
22 yo skilled winger with size and the #7 for Coburn and the #11?
Who will take Coburn's minutes on D? |
