Except Pietrangelo just told the Blues to pony up 7MM a year minimum or don't bother talking to him. Could be an opportunity there. - Flyers1218

Then again, some of these rumors need to be taken with a grain of salt. TSN's throwing a lot of stuff out there... we all know most of it won't come close to happening. - Tomahawk
I hear you -- trust me, I hear you. The media was killing Seguin during and after, though, because he just didn't give them anything in the finals, especially when you consider the Bergeron was hurt and Krejci's line was getting shut down after the Blackhawks made adjustments.
They really needed him, and he didn't give them anything...they're pretty sour.
That's being said...there's risk, and there's craziness. |

If they got the 7th would anybody be upset if they took Nurse & at 11 landed Ristolainen ? - ob18
Not high on Ristolainen...I agree with Bill that his offensive upside could be limited and his D isn't all that either...I wouldn't necessarily be upset in that scenario, especially given my affinity for Nurse, but I'd rather see Pulock taken there. |

I know he fits into an NHL lineup, and we'll move up, and we'll open up cap space. It's a really good deal |

The rationale that TSN cited was pretty flimsy though... Chiarelli needs to consider trading Seguin or risk losing Horton?
Nathan Horton already indicated he's going to walk... Bruins are probably better off for it, too. |

If Morin doesn't scream Flyers pick, I don't know who does. I just hope he isn't the 11 pick - phatpat44
Yeah, wouldn't mind him at #41, but no way at #11. I came away with a lesser opinion of him after watching that vid. Would take Nurse, Zadorov or Pulock over Morin at #11. |

Pääjärvi doesn't work hard enough to pot goals in the AHL... he's pretty much bounced up and down non-stop between EDM and OKC since he turned pro... not a guy I'm trading a legit (and still young) top-4 NHL dman for. |

In order to know it's a really good deal. You'd have to know something about Pääjärvi |

I've been keeping an eye on him ever since Bill started mentioning his name at the TDL last season. I think he'd fit will in Philly. Great size, Some speed, and some great moves. He seems snake bit when shooting much like Jake was before thiis season. |

I'd actually want Zadorov if they can't move back to take Morrissey |

Oilers fans will be furious. Eberle and 7th overall for Coburn, Read and 11th overall is close.

I think we should all stop calling coburn a top 4 dman and start calling him a 3-4 dman cause thats really what he is |

You know, it's funny. You can't take anything away from the B's because of their recent success, but they have some real holes if Horton walks and Tyler Seguin really is regressing.
Again, it's way too early to put Tyler Seguin in a box, and I'm not doing that.
But they actually NEEDED Jaromir Jagr. They don't have much in their system, with regard to high-end talent on the wings.
Maybe they're looking to score multiple pieces for Seguin, because if Horton does walk, they'd need two Top 6 RW PDQ. |
