Both steals is what I meant - Winning
How did Laughton go from a Reach to a Steal?
Gonna need more than a handful of games to call him a steal, at this point his offensive game is nowhere near coots (and coots isn't exactly an offensive juggernaut). |

The fact that he's never dominated a single level he's been at in the russian leagues is a bit strange... I mean usually the highly ranked russian prospects have at the very least lighted a the minor league. |

There's a few NHL experts that do a re-draft every year. Basically kind of a hindsight draft, as to who would have gone higher had their draft been held a year later. Giroux was the biggest riser in the 2006 draft and Laughton was the biggest jump in 2012's class, from 21 to 10 |

You mean 56 points in 49 games?... or 53 in 64 games the year before that?
Not exactly mind blowing, He's a smaller, less offensive skilled version of Coots with better wheels, as of now nothing more than a 3rd line center. |

Laughton also missed some time due to suspensions but he is a really solid player. |

The end to end rush's were nice especially for the highlight real, but 2 points in 6 games. Now he was playing against kids older than him and he truly should dominate this upcoming WJC but still.
Not buying the hype, especially with the crazy Malkin comparisons. |

I'm not buying Malkin either, he is not as "can't miss" as Malkin was, but he should be very good |

No doubt he is, hard worker, and im sure he'll improve offensively.
But if a young center is getting moved from the Flyers, i hope it's laughton and not Coots or Bschenn (of course those two will have more value since they're already up with the big boys, but yeah). |

Even with it being juniors he was 61.1% on faceoffs (not even tops on Oshawa) |

Yeah, that BSH article is bunk...almost as good as when they tried to claim the Flyers "already had their Suter" in Matt Carle.
I did an extensive debunk a couple weeks ago when Bill blogged about Couturier and cited that BSH article...see about half way down:

I remember that Suter to Matt Carle article. It was pretty rediculous. |

This mock has the Flyers selecting Bo Horvat
http://futureconsideratio...tewart-scouting-director/ - ob18
Interesting how far down they have some of the other defenseman after Jones and Nurse and the order of the dmen
Pulock at 27th and Morrissey and Morin ahead of Ristolainen and Zadarov |

There is so much disparity in the defenseman in all of the mock drafts. They all have different guys slipping way down after nurse + Jones |
