Not if your team is tanking for a few years to reload on prospects. - Symba007
Is it exhausting to know that your team will be tanking for the next X number of years? I'm actually quite sympathetic of you, as that would suck pretty badly. |

That's all we need is that headcase back in the league... |

So Tim Thomas isn't allowed to have his own views according to you. Who's the bigot here? - LunaticFringe
I don't take offense to his views (well, I do, but that's not a discussion for here) as much as I do the ridiculous persecution complex he built up. I'm not even talking about the White House thing, him taking a year off because his skin is too thin to deal with the backlash was one of the most entitled, selfish things I've ever seen an athlete do. He's a (frank)ing baby, there's no other way to describe the guy. |

Well, no two rebuilds are the same. If they're competent and get lucky it might only be a few seasons. Granted I don't have much confidence but still
Also I'm not sure just how committed they will be to full blown tanking, or just mostly tanking. We'll see whether they waste any money next week, then we'll know |

Where can I watch the draft coverage in Florida? Can't stream TSN in the states. |

What do you think of the possiblility of Feaster acquiring Desharnais from the Habs? |

Well, centers are a great need. What would he cost in a trade? |

Your 22nd pick for the Habs 25th pick and Desharnais. |

He was washed up anyway. The most a good goalie could do for Calgary next year is give them a crappier draft position
Goaltending is difficult to predict long term and teams have rebuilt without necessarily emphasizing goaltending first. Most of the goalies on the trade market aren't worth assets for Calgary, and I will be apoplectic if they draft Fucale with one of their later 1sts (they're actually fairly deep in goaltending prospects) - S Kaspar Rollins
No he was not. The last couple games showed that. He just wasn't into it with the short season (always started slow) then all the trade rumors.

Sounds pretty good to me, depending on who's available still at 22. The Flames have been neat that spot before and traded down and I've hated it every time |

Mmm, you're forgetting the fact that the second last season of his was an anamoly from the years preceding it. I know you're going to blame bad defense but he was in decline
The trade rumors didn't start until the deadline, by which point his desire to retire was already well known |

Well I sure hope Calgary is not committed to tanking, Kaspar. I'd rather see somebody throw a celebrity at a homosexual than that; besides, tanking's Edmonton's job. |

I'm not sure, we'll know when we see how much money they waste next week. They're taking a serious interest in Vinny; whether they intend that as just a stopgap thing to mentor the kids or whether they legit think he could get them closer to the playoffs, I don't know. |

The Chicago game proved he still had it. Doesn't matter, all academic now.
Calgary should not be in the conversation to pursue any goaltending this offseason, if they do Feaster should be fired.
And they better not draft one in the first round either.
Does anyone really think TT is going to play this year anyways? I don't. |

Well on that we are agreed at least. The goaltending here is far from stable but that doesn't mean they should give up assets to get one either. |

Except CurtMac is signed to a 1 way deal next year and theres that other guy. Whats his name? He just won a trophy.
C'mon Ek, even your more creative than this. I know it's been slow today despite all the supposed chatter, but at least pretend like your trying. - mochoson
Not an NHL caliber goalie. Awful. |
