Just get coburn and 2nd for number 5. This would be highway robbery. What a rumor. Coburn could turn into a real fan favorite if homer pulled that off....why stop there doesn't Colorado need dmen? Coburn, mezaros, #11, first rounder next year for colorados 1st and 2 nd this year.

if that's the deal on the table for coburn, you do it, and don't think twice about it.
Coburn is a nice defender, and I think he would be a great neighbor, but his value is never going to be higher than the no. 5 pick in the draft, even if he goes on to win the norris next year.

If homer needed to think about that deal, he needs to get kicked in the junk on the podium when picking at 11.

Wow, talk about screwing over Columbus by giving Bob the vezina. And a vezina in a shortened season where anomalies are bound to happen. Perhaps it's a good thing that no Flyer has received an award in a long time, since it can really screw over contract-negotiations.

My guess is that any trade that involves moving up or down in draft order will be announced just before the affected pick. Gives them time to change their mind and react to what other teams are doing.
