Bobrovsky gets 2 years, $5mm per from CBJ - Jsaquella
Good for him and reasonable for CBJ.
If he keeps up his level of play he's in for a big payday next go-around. |

I'm still a little perplexed at the Bernier trade. Not a clear cut upgrade over Reimer, why spend the trade assets? - BulliesPhan87
Not sure. One rumor is that the Leafs feel Reimer gets dinged up too easy |

I heard he made a pitch for it, but it was shot down. - jak521
Skimming through the news feed, it looks like Universal picked it up and they're targeting next summer. I'll tell you what, I struggled to take Jeff Daniels seriously in The Newsroom the first time around, it's going to be way harder after this movie. |

They clearly feel he is a significant upgrade over reimer. Remember, teams only need one starting goalie and if he's good, he can be the starter for 10 years. |

Any word on when we can expect it? IMDb's got nothing for me. - BulliesPhan87
Daniels, and Carey. Bob Mac tweeted Cam Neely as Seabass will return, and there is a rumor Lucic will play his son. |

That's the other thing about goalies, everyone loves Bernier and Schneider, but here's a tidbit:
Bobrovsky has more NHL games and starts under his belt than both Schneider and Bernier. Despite the pedigree they both have, neither has been a full time starter in the NHL. - Jsaquella
I'd love to have him back. |

Did he play in a professional league last year? Swedish Elite? |

He seems like his spirits are shot as well. He had some really strange quotes yesterday. Something like "Good, now I will be up for three games and buried in the ground for one" |

As long as Morin has some wheels, he could work out ok. I think people's worst fears are he is a pylon on the ice and guys will go right around him The consensus is that won't be the case. If he's mobile, that's a start. You can't teach size. He's only 18, plenty of time for him to improve the other aspects of his game.
The fact Button likes him is a good sign. His opinion is pretty well respected. - PLindbergh31
The other encouraging thing is the rumor that Montreal really wanted him.
I think the Montreal scout has done a really good job selecting future NHL players. |

I just don't see it. I mean, I don't think Bernier is destined to bust or anything, but I would've rolled the dice on Reimer rather than trade for Bernier if I were in the driver's seat.
But then, as Jsaq said, there's the 'dinged up' thing. And to be fair, I've never followed the Kings nor the Leafs closely. |

Will Bob Mac reprise his role as Evil Bob McKenzie?

I saw Gettysburg after Dumb and Dumber. Holy moly what a different role. Even in The Newsroom, his character has some moments where you go, ok this cat's a bit goofy.
In Gettysburg, Daniels was brilliant as a professor struggling to be a good leader for his troops during the Civil War. Couldn't believe it was the same dude |

I think I read that he wants or expects to play overseas for a few years and then come to the NHL. |

I forget where, but I heard the movie will pick up right where it left off, with them wandering in the desert. |

Good deal for both sides. So much for the $6 mill/yr rumors from before the draft. Can't believe that Mike Smith got 5.75 mill on a longterm contract though. Going to Phoenix does wonders for a goalies career. |

That would be great and they've been stuck aging in it the entire time. |

No way of knowing if that is true. I think Button is usually pretty spot on. He likes Morin. He knows a lot more about the kid than I do. |

The first one was so great. Not sure there is any way to do it justice. If anyone can do it, it's the Farrelly Brothers. |

I agree with you. I feel so much of a goaltenders success has to do with the team around him. It's difficult to gain confidence if your team is allowing so many high quality scoring chances.
Acquiring a young goalie with little experience, but a lot of promise is like acquiring a backup QB. Sometimes they become decent like Matt Schaub and other times they become AJ Feeley. |

I was just really surprised when it first happened. And didnt do much research until I calmed down. I like his moxy. Something we really miss on the back end, even though Gusty has a bit of it. |
