Sit through a poop season, for a project dman. Splendid. - PLindbergh31
Well, at least you have something to complain about. Of course, you'd find something to complain about if they took anybody, so there's nothing new. |

it's much more fun to kick and scream and label now. - hammarby31
Apparently. They kicked and screamed that they never draft a defenseman. Well they just did. And apparently they made a bad pick according to the consensus. I guess they screwed up again.

Why is there a need for a silver lining? I'm going to see how he develops and turns out before labeling it anything. - MJL
I'm disappointed but I do like that he is a spitting image of pronger size-wise and we do have pronger hanging around on the payroll for the next 5 years.... |

They said the same thing about dougie hamilton and he was up in 2 years. We truly don't know anything at this point. People get so upset when they Flyers don;t develop Dmen. Well now they are going to try to. |

Two drafts in a row flyers could have traded down and still gotten their player. Sam hinkie holmer is not |

I'm going against the consensus. Everyone loves the pick. Holmgren being lauded all over the place. I have to bring balance. |

Not against the pick. Just think its going to be awhile before he even helps this team. I'm saying 5 years. |

Here's a full draft breakdown of Morin:
http://thehockeywriters.c...3-draft-prospect-profile/ - JAKEw1234
"Offensively, Morin isn’t afraid to rush the puck up ice, but he doesn’t do it all that often. He can deliver a stretch pass to a breaking forward with ease. He makes very smart plays with the puck and knows where to be at the right times. He’s known more for his defensive presence, however."
doesn't sound like a strictly "stay at home" type... I think they reached a bit but it could pay off huge... that's kinda what the draft is about. |
