I'm underwhelmed, too.
Who knows, maybe there will be a late trade. - Jsaquella
They've had a lot of success drafting forwards out of Quebec Junior in the first round, I guess we're going to find out if that touch translates to d-men. |

It speaks volume to the other picks when the consensus best pick the team has made was Hagg who we picked up in round 2.
Hopefully he doesn't turn out like the rest of the other 2nd rounders have |

Morin is a C pick to me. He seems like a top-6 player, but maybe on a bottom pair. Definitely lots of room to move up. Not as polished (or as right-handed) as Pulock.
Haag is an A+ pick at 41. Definitely their steal of this year.
The 3rd round pick is an F-.
So far, as C to C+ draft overall. They got lucky Haag was still there. - jmatchett383
I really thought they'd take Pulock.. I don't know enough about Morin, so I have to trust other people's opinions. We always overvalue size IMO, and why in God's name do we need another enforcer? |

Thus begins a long, long journey of people spelling his name wrong
Morin is a B pick for me. If he reaches his potential he's actually a #2 or #3 dman. He's said to be a bigger carbon copy of Luke Schenn. |

Hagg was a very good value at 41. Morin is a good prospect, but he's a bit of a project and there were more highly regarded, or at least "safer" picks there.
The Goulbourne pick is just a waste of a pick. Definitely could have gotten him later. Would have loved to grab Jimmy Lodge at that point of the draft. - Jsaquella
what's your read on why the flyers would pick morin at 11, when the other guys like pulock, who were projected in that slot, went immediately after to the isles, etc.
hagg seems like a good choice.
flyers always seem to just throw away picks in the later rounds. |

my sources tell me that most scouts saw Morin improve like crazy this year.. and that's what they look for. Scouts saw Pulock stay pretty much the same and not improve his game much |

I'd love to see a quote from Holmgren on the 3rd pick, besides that he is (frank)ing Zak Rinaldo v2.0 |

Seeing as I never even heard of the guy until today, I sure as hell didn't see him improve. God damnit homer. |

If we are out of the playoffs this year, I look to replace Homer and Lavi. No hate for Homer, but the lustre is wearing off. |

apparently he made the biggest jump over any other prospect from his mid-season rankings, but still was project a good 10 slots lower. nothing here is an exact science, just figured in a deep draft with the flyers really needing to restock the cupboard that they'd go with consensus safe picks. |
