Just like drafting all dmen, I find it hard to believe these two goalies were the best players available. That is all I ask. I'm still very positive about the future. Still concerned about the present though.

Well, Pandolfo pretty much ONLY killed penalties and Reasoner didn't play that much once this team came together. The only one who got more than his share of ice time was Rolston, and that's likely because it takes a while to convince Wang that money doesn't always have anything to do with production.

That said, DiPietro is a known commodity- he's cr*p, and that's abundantly obvious. They didn't bring any of those others back, and even if DP comes to camp, he won't MAKE this team- that's the point. It's not about us rioting, or anything like that- he won't MAKE the team. He's not GOOD ENOUGH, period.

Living the busy life, but always good to see y'all I skulk around the boards, though rarely post these days.

We can get the band back together of failed draft picks. We can find Brett Lindros, Scott Scissons, go to Russia and dig up Daigle... It will be like the hockey version of the movie The Replacements!

Not True..Polkolrov will just buy more players and try again...the Nets will have to pay $80 million in penalties because they are over the cap...thats a drop in the bucket for him...he is worth $17 billion so when he buys the Islanders watch out...

They used a third round pick on a guy who was USHL rookie of the year last year, and this year he was USHL forward of the year, USHL player of the year , and led the USHL in scoring.

I think he could be the steal of the draft. Ymmv.

He won't make this team- I really don't want to get into the other argument as to why...but just ask yourself WHY so many major league baseball players have bad hips....knees....etc...guys who used to hit towering home runs, who don't play anymore. Pretty much obviously the same deal, in my opinion. His abilities are no longer.....ahem......enhanced....
