"Zadorov’s a talented player but sometimes he tries to force a play when it’s best to keep it simple and make the high percentage play."

who does that sound like?

A trade MUST be coming. That's the only reason I could think of why they would draft 2 defenseman.

Came over here figuring you guys would be happy with these picks but I guess I was wrong. I think it's a positive change to build from the back line. Myers is still young and D take time to develop sometimes. Now you add two other guys with high upside. This is how championship teams come to fruition. No matter who you were to take it would take time but this is a great beginning in my opinion.

Not everybody is mad. For me, with a team that is this far away, you pick BPA all the way. I love it. Load up. If the top guy at 38 is a D, do it again. Can't have enough good dmen.

If we trade Myers for offense we do
- GilPerreault11

Darcy not trading Myers. He cant barely make a trade. This is the funniest draft ever. I thought the goal was the cup did not realize we were going for it in 2020.
Its even funnier because the sabres raised my season ticket prices

if the plan is to compete for a cup in 4 or 5 years, they are great picks

if that is the case, no reason whatsoever to hold on to vanek and miller now

- navinrjohnson

Wasn't that the plan all along?

Which is where I think we pick

- jdfitz77

Zadorov pick would have been even better with Nichushkin at #8... would have been perfect 1st round if that would have happened. Maybe Dallas will trade Nichushkin to Buffalo for Ristolainen post-draft?
