I think 1 of Monahan/Lindholm was #1, and I suspect Carolina wanted more then just Sekera to make this deal and Regier decided there wasnt enough of a difference between the 2 players to make it

I don't know if i like the 8th pick but at the same time i can't say i hate it. I would have like to of drafted Nichuskin with the 8th pick but i understand why they did not draft him. But i do love the 16th pick and the 52nd pick.

Vanek would get paid if he wants to be here. Basically the same deal he is on now. Trading Sekera and Stafford frees up about 5.5 million in cap space. Idk if you can get Horton to come here though. I think they are making a run for next years FA class

Born one day later and he is probably a 1st round pick next year. Lets see if its a waste in 4 or 5 years when the kid is 22.

If Hurley turns out he could potentially be the biggest steal in the 2013 draft.

Hurley could end up being the steal of the draft. I've seen him listed around 22-30 on some mock drafts. He is the youngest player in the draft. Another year he could be a top 10 pick. Who knows. Gotta wait and see how he develops
