They didn't make the same picks that I would've made but that doesn't mean they were bad picks. Both d men have huge potential. If Darcy uses Miller and Vanek to add to our top 6, then these d picks will look even better. Everybody expects everything to happen in one day...

I don't like Darcy either but he's not going anywhere anytime soon. Still plenty of time to make trades

Oh I agree. I think it's safe to say Darcy wasn't kidding with the suffering word. It's a total rebuild. Everyone wants that franchise player but they don't come cheap so either draft top 3 or give away the farm to get there. I like the progress. We have a really good pipeline on D that hopefully can prevent the big scoring chances so we don't need a 6 million dollar goalie and work on getting goal scorers

The summer isn't over we have time to trade them still before next season

Here is why I dont like the draft.
To me to win the cup you need elite forwards. Look at Chicago Toews Kane,Sharp Hossa Bickell Boston Kreji Marchand Lucic Bergeron. Guys killing themselves to win a cup. To me our only elite forward is vanek and he in my opinion will be traded.
This draft was compared to 2003 draft by many experts not me. There are multiple cup winners and many dif. making forwards that came from that draft.
We chose 2 def. who might be good but got us nowhere closer to getting the elite forwards to win a cup. If Vanek is traded our most established scorer is Drew Stafford. Nathan Gerby is a top 6 forward. I want to win the cup so I no I am a negative Nelly who knows nothing about hockey. So i am sorry.

Either Tyler Ennis OR Tyler Myers to Anaheim for Bobby Ryan.

Thomas Vanek, Drew Stafford and Luke Adam to Jets for Evander Kane, Dustin Byfuglien, and Alex Burmistrov.

Ryan Miller and 2nd round pick (2014) for Paul Stastny and 1st round pick (2014).

I think they plan on not being good the next couple of years(top 5 picks), thus getting elite offensive talent in the 2014, 2015 drafts.
