I said, "Nishcinin AND speedy small forwards," I think they passed on Nich not because of his size, but rather his attitude and issues with KHL....the other forwards, Mantha, Domi, and others similar to Ennis are not what we want, the Size and Beef we got on the back end is not something you can teach, as well as, they have the NA style of attitude we were looking for, The Sabres liked Greg and Girgs and I think they have the right attitude but I don't mind them not putting too many Russians in the same basket....

But just think about Yaks playing with Grigs.

If Grigs setting up Kucherov was that effective for Russia in the World Jr's, just think what him and Yaks could do. I really like Myers (I know, I know) but since we went 2 D early in the 1st, I might be more open to him being traded, especially if it meant getting someone like Yakupov (not that I think that's going to happen).

Meb, glad to see u out of the woodwork! Right on about size and grit. Maybe we are too late to the party, but seeing how West coast teams look like giants and how we have Gerbe (who I like btw), Ennis, Hodgy, up front getting clobbered in the corners and front of the net, the last 2 drafts have been sick by Regier.

Cody and Meyers will bounce back, I think, and if Stafford can play like he's got a pair then I think our forwards will be better this year...can't wait to see Girgensens kickin' ass and takin' names.

Except we don't need Miller. Myers intrigues me but you'd only have a shot at Eberle. Because of Myers downward trend, I think you would have to add a bit there.
