If there was any way Philly wanted Luongo, then Schneider would not be a Devil.

If Darcy can trade Ennis and/ or Staff for anything close to what he got for Kassian, I'll be in heaven.

Here is why I dont like the draft.
To me to win the cup you need elite forwards. Look at Chicago Toews Kane,Sharp Hossa Bickell Boston Kreji Marchand Lucic Bergeron. Guys killing themselves to win a cup. To me our only elite forward is vanek and he in my opinion will be traded.
This draft was compared to 2003 draft by many experts not me. There are multiple cup winners and many dif. making forwards that came from that draft.
We chose 2 def. who might be good but got us nowhere closer to getting the elite forwards to win a cup. If Vanek is traded our most established scorer is Drew Stafford. Nathan Gerby is a top 6 forward. I want to win the cup so I no I am a negative Nelly who knows nothing about hockey. So i am sorry.

- hafgod

you need at least 1 elite forward and a star forward, or a bunch of very good depth forwards with a good top line

AND very good D

to win the cup

chicago's D is very good with keith, seabrook etc

kings last year

bruins etc

yes forwards are important but if you cant keep the puck out of the net it makes no difference

yes i know very late

I think they wanted him, just after he was bought out. To bad for them I guess.

IMO, teams would be more apt to take Ennis than Staffinfection.

Not sure how I feel about this draft. Lots of fans of other teams are saying Buffalo went beast mode on this draft. I like some of the picks, dislike some others, but theres not one pick that Im in love with.

I absolutely hate that we traded Sekera.

Why is everyone saying this Girgenson is so tough and hits so hard, the next Drury? I watched him play all season in the AHL and the guy wasn't anything special, he wasn't hitting anyone like Cam Neely or going doing much of anything. We shall see.

McNabb looked terrible last year, one game against Tampa's super fast farm team he was beaten wide so bad I'm surprised he wasn't sent to the East Coast roller hockey league.

Kevin Sundher looked weak and was lost in the AHL, he plays small like smurf.

I think this is the second time in 2 days that you asked why everyone is talking about Girgensons, when no one is talking about Girgensons. Obsess much?

Ok Mr.EverySabresProspectIsHorrible

And seriously he is like the youngest player in the AHL and isn't supposed to be a 40 goal scorer.

And he got smoked and fought hard to recover. It took him a while to get his game back, which is understandable, or should be.

Especially for someone who supposedly watched every Amerks game last year.

Regier said they won't be re-signing Leggio

They've also chosen not to qualify Schiestel and Lagace.

So, to start the year he was playing against and behind locked-out NHLers. Then right before the lockout ends, and he would have moved up into a larger role, this happened:

Good first season, all things considered

I love all the hockeybuzz scouts we have on here!

"Ristolainen terrible pick...soft as mink fur...Darcy sucks" (ok, THAT I agree with).

Risto not soft AT ALL, and has one of, if not THE, hardest shot in this draft. Great pick.

And with Zadorov - if Myers can get his sh!t together - we will have one big, skilled, nasty defense.

Looking at the buffalo sabres last 5 first rounders there is one thing in common and that is size.

2011
Joel Armia
POS: RW
HT: 6'3"
WT: 187
My Rank: First line or second line Right winger

He needs one year in the AHL.

2012
Mikhail Grigorenko
POS: C
HT: 6'3"
WT: 200
My rank: First line Centre (ELITE TALENT)

I would like to see him play the 2013-14 season in the AHL so he can build some kind of a cemistrie with Joel Armia

2012
Zemgus Girgenson
POS: C
HT: 6'2"
WT: 194
My Rank: Second or third line centre

He is a player that loves to hit and he has some offensive upside.

2013
POS: D
Rasmus Ristolainen
HT: 6'4"
WT: 207

2013
POS: D
Nikita Zadorov
HT: 6'5"
WT: 230
